art wrote:hi guys, bob i need to clear a few things in my mind, looking through most of the charts this morning uk time, there wasn't one pair showing green or red lights on 4 hour and 1 hour, most had just 4 hour light and a blank 1 hour, so do we just ignore those, i'm still getting confused on what css time frame to use i know you advocate using the daily, but looking at the daily for instance the eurusd is pointing down, the 4 hour pointing up, how would you play this, the 4 hour chart is showing 4 hour red only, plus its right at the bottom of the range, most of the pairs seem to be at the top or bottom of the range, thanks once again for all your patience
Its best just to go with the 4hr and place your trade when the Sto is right. Not often the 1hr will agree.
I check the Daily as a matter of interest.

Thanks to good US data I had 11 trades hit TP today. ;)

Hi All, I am reading through the whole thread (am on page 308...wish I coined it on the xxxJPY trades too :D )

Anyway, I have downloaded the templates, profiles etc for the trading method, but my broker has no prefixes on its pairs, so my charts do not display. Can somebody please give me direction as to how I can go about getting the charts displayed?

I would also like to start playing the rain (raining pips that is...)

Thanks

Just delete all the charts and replace them from your Market Watch. It's a pain but I don't know another way.

you could try this from another post http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... start=6620

One little note just in case: if your symbols don´t have the exact same name as Bob´s broker (ie: AUDCADm) profile won´t load properly, in order to fix this you´ll have to edit with your platform closed each .chr file with the symbol name as shown in your broker (in my case was just without the ´m´) and voila, profile with all pairs will open fine after that, i know this will be obvious for many but perhaps for not everyone; just trying to help a bit...

Howzit IanV, i tried that, as well as dragging in and dropping the various indicators etc, and somehow it just doesn't look right...Am I doing it the right way when you say I should replace the deleted charts with my marketwatch?

I knew I read that post somewhere, just didn't know it was on page 663!!! I am on page 321 after two days of reading so it would have taken me sometime...

However, can someone tell me how to edit the .chr file? When I try opening it my puter tells me that I don't have necessary program to open the file...

How now brown cow? (Not calling anyone a cow... )

Cheers

Okay, I am not sure if this is correct, but I took a gamble and dropped the corresponding chart from my marketwatch into the chart window that is displayed by the profile, and that populated the window, and it kind of looks right...

Will play around and get back to you...I am still missing info pages, dashboards etc etc, but I am reading up on the main thread so things may have possibly changed?
