I loaded the 10.6 EDSEL files in FXDD Malta Empty4 4 and they've been working fine. I now decided to load the same files in Alpari UK Empty4 4 where I have my live account and they files don't even come up. For instance, when I select the templates icon in Empty4 (Alpari), the temples don't come up. Also, if I try to load the template myself it doesn't pick up the 10.6 templates even though they are in the program files of Alpari UK Empty4 4 folder. Help with this please? This has never happened to me before and I've been loading Bob's systems a long time now.

Hi Bob,

Now if you are good at reading the BB and you understand its nuances then yes you can add them to CSS. I will not be teaching using the BB. However, I do understand the BB very well from my CT trading days so i can give you a hint on setting it up. Change the setting to 30, move the bands from 2 to 1, put a shift 3 or 5 on it. When price goes outside the band enter, when price comes back inside the band exit. Simple. sheesh I may even look at that.

That's a very good Idea with your "CT-Bollinger Bands". I checkt this in combination with the RSI CT-Methode and it looks good.

One question I had to "out of bands" rule. Do you mean if price is between the contracted Bands or generally between the bands?

Yes when it breaks outside the bands you enter and end the trade when it comes back in. This is set at 30 MA Close Dev. 1 Shift 3. You see the area where price broke out. The problem with BB is trying to differentiate when price is going to stay inside and when it is going outside. If you have some way of knowing then you can make a lot of pips. So here is a BB breakout which is expected south of the 240 line. The problem with just 240 and BB is the false breakouts that happen before the real breakout happens. This is a 4H chf/jpy illustrating the move I am talking about. Now if the CSS is showing breakout coming up then you can play off the Top BB line and breakout of the bottom. Could be some nice trading there.

Just to show how you can take my system and add it to another system like BB and get good trades. See how the 240 red MA line shows you should be selling? See the STO 7 and combo with the BB top line and you could trade this with a warning that the STO7 had broken south. You enter then exit south of the BB. Maybe some of you struggling would find the STO7 with the BB and 240 line easier to read trades. You know You have to find something that works consistanly for you. Then with the new CSS reads I will be coming up with will help you in getting those nice breakout trades. There are a lot of trading ideas to use if you get the original trend right.

This looks really interesting Bob. I think the main problem we have trying to follow your system is the huge losses on a few trades that end up eating all the profits. So a system where putting pending trades on every 0000 and 0050 in the direction of the CSS trend makes more sense and is easier to trade, at least to me.

Yes it is with the Empty4 build. Contacted Alpari and they explained that to me. With the update to build 600 though, there is not templates folder. So I'm now trying to find out from them where should custom templates be placed. Or does anyone here knows using the Empty4 build 600?

In the 600 build the place where are present the directories like config, history, logs,templates ecc. is mostly different to the main Empty4 installation folder.
The only way to find out where the correct "Data folder" location is, is to read the "Journal" log of Empty4.
The second line from start reports the used Data folder.
