Wealthmaster's ALR trade manager

Post by Dewey McG »

I started testing this with a system I use as part of my live trading. The progression is off. It is .1, .2, .2, .2 etc.

The broker is an ECN broker: FinFX.

Where can one download this trade manager? Does it have option for partial take profit of the first trade? It will be great for the ALR to have this option of partial TP, BE and Trailing stop for the first manual trade.

See Post 1 to get the trade manager. No, it does not have those options and since it would cost money to have the programmer add additional features it would be unfair to ask Wealthmaster to shell out additional funds unless you wanted to foot the bill yourself

First, good stuff Wealthmaster for your generosity.

Been testing this EA on three separate pairs: GBPNZD, GBPCAD and CADJPY. For each pair the initial lot size was 0.1 (NB. here in the UK with my spreadbetting broker 0.1 = 0.10 or 10p per pip, 1 = £1 per pip etc. Still the maths shold work ok)
The lot sizes were calculated on screen as follows for 15 turns:

GBPNZD: 0.1. 0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.2, 1.7, 2.4, 3.4 4.8, 6.7, 9.4, 13.2
GBPCAD: 0.1, 0.1, 0.1, 0.2, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0, 1.4, 1.9, 2.6, 3.6, 4.9/5.0, 6.7/6.9
CADJPY: 0.1, 0.2, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.2, 1.6, 2.2, 3.0, 4.0, 5.5, 7.5, 10.2, 13.9

Any ideas as to why the differences, e.g. is it anything to do with the volatility of the pair?
I did also notice that at times the pending order lot sizes visibly fluctuate between two values
e.g. on GBPCAD I noticed for Order #14 fluctuations between 4.9/5.0 and for Order #15 fluctuations between 6.7/6.9 ?
The dream is real ...
