Unless someone else steps in first, I shall start work on this soon. It is complex, so nothing is going to happen quickly. What I am aabout to write is not a 'slap-down' Dixpat, so please do not feel it is. I have stated here that FF is not a dirty word, (ok, so an acronym for two words, but you know what I mean). Far from it - I owe nearly everything I can do and all the friends I have here, to my FF membership. Members here are free to share my work at FF. This will also help FF members find their way here - and all traders apart from the stunningly successful should be here. The brainpower available here is awesome |

Thanks for saying that Steve, because if you didn't, I would have. Whether anyone might think the strategy is good or not, or whether anyone steps up to code it is not the point. To specifically find a coder was not the whole reason I posted this on FF, but because I want to give back a solid strategy to the Forex Factory community that may help traders in their quest to become better traders. If some one on FF happen to step up to try and code this over there, all the better. Two heads are always better than one. I learned a lot from Steve about giving back selflessly and I try to do the same. It is just a shame that Steve had to leave under the circumstances that popped up, but as you can see, Steve is not the kind of guy that will hold a grudge against a whole forum of people that respect him. If Steve gets a successful bot done on this one, I would obviously respect his work by asking him for permission to post any work he has completed. This is not going to be a commercial product anyway, so why not let everyone benefit. |

Now, back to the strategy. Since I am posting over at FF, I will try and keep both threads up to date with the same info. I am going to put up a few charts so everyone can see the trade setups. I will show the Eur/Usd, Gbp/Usd, Aud/Usd, & Nzd/Usd charts from Friday and put them in my trade tracker and see how we fared for the day. I will be placing 3 Regular trades (T1, T2, & T3) of 1 lot each targeting each fib extension, moving the stops to the 107 fib extension on the remaining trades once Target 1 is hit. I will start with .1 lots on all Scalp trades. Since I have 1 lot each in play on my Regular trades, using the 4-2-1 ratio, I will use 4, 2, and 1 lots respectively on the Counter Trend trades (CT1, CT2, & CT3). Pip totals do not include the spread. Here are the charts for the Eur/Usd, Gbp/Usd, Aud/Usd, & Nzd/Usd Eur/Usd Scalp Trades 1@ +7 pips Regular trades T1-1@ +22 pips T2-1@ +7 pips T3-1@ +7 pips No Counter Trend trades taken Gbp/Usd Scalp Trades 4@ +7 pips @.1 lots 1@ -14 pips @.1 lots 1@ +7 pips @.2 lots Regular trades T1-2@ +22 pips T2-2@ +7 pips T3-2@ +7 pips Counter Trend Trades CT1-1@ -23 pips @ 4 lots (next CT1 will be 8 lots) CT1-1@ +14 pips @ 8 lots CT2-1@ -14 pips @ 2 lots (next CT2 will be 4 lots) 3 Regular trades currently open as of Friday's close Aud/Usd Scalp Trades 3@ +9 pips @.1 lots 1@ -18 pips @.1 lots 1@ +9 pips @ .2 lots 1@ -18 pips @.1 lots (next Scalp will be at .2 lots) Regular trades T1-1@ +30 pips T2-1@ +9 pips T3-1@ +9 pips Counter Trend Trades CT1-1@ +19 pips @ 4 lots CT2-1@ -19 pips @ 2 lots (next CT2 will be 4 lots) Nzd/Usd Scalp Trades 1@ +7 pips Regular trades T1-1@ +22 pips T2-1@ +36 pips T3-1@ +58 pips No Counter Trend trades taken Total for the day on 4 pairs $2703.60 25 wins, 6 losses Win%-80.65% Total Pips- 246 Total Lots Traded- 36.6 I saved the Open Office Trade Tracker in .xls format, but I can't upload it here because of file size limitations. If anyone wants to see it, please PM me with your e-mail or visit the Synergy CRS thread at FF. Any blank spaces in the spreadsheet are trades that are still open and have not hit target or stopped out. |

Just a quick update on the open Gbp/Usd trades from Friday. The active open Regular trades made a reversal and were stopped out at 1.54918. The good news is that since we were still in an active trade from Friday, we were still able to open a Counter Trend sequence in which all 3 CT trades hit their targets (see pic). Normally, I would use the 4-2-1 ratio for the Counter Trend trades with only one Regular trade being placed and then use higher lots when I have multiple trades open, like maybe 8-4-2 or 6-3-1.5 instead. I'm not going to change that until the first of the year as I want to keep the setup as simple as possible so not to confuse anyone. With the 3 Regular losses from Friday plus the Counter Trend trades, we only lost $538 instead of $1431. That is how the Counter Trend trades help alleviate the losses and depending how proportionate the Counter Trend trades are in relation to how many Regular trades you use, losses can be fully recouped in most cases. For example, if I would have used 8-4-2 instead of 4-2-1, we would've recouped all of the loss +$355 ($1786 -$1431). I'll see you all later and see how tonight goes. |

Hello Mer! I think there is a mistake in the above (third post) - you write about slightly higher lot sizes with scalp trades. And in the post about position sizing you write that scalp trades are a tenth of regular trades. But as a whole it seems to be a very thorough and complete system. And VERY precisely documented. Thank you for sharing! Regards, qooyend |

Nice catch, you are correct. I meant to say lower lot sizes and I have corrected the post. Here are the charts for the Eur/Usd, Gbp/Usd, & Aud/Usd for Monday. There were no trades triggered on the Nzd/Usd. A lot of whipsawing action today, but as you all know that there will be days like this. Tomorrow we will see how the open trades have fared along with the new trades. I hope everyone has a grasp of the basics of the strategy with some of the charts I've posted and you can see how the trades flow with each other. I am going to be leaving for Christmas vacation until the end of the year. So play around with the strategy, try different lot sizes, try single or multiple trade scenarios, be creative. When I am back I am going to take a single pair and fully document it in my trade manager and see how just a single pair can be enough to be profitable for the year. I will still be checking in everyday to answer questions so feel free to ask away if you need it. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and have a safe New Year. |

mer and All Here is an Indicator that will draw the fibos, Long and Short for however many number of days. Default is 1. The array p[15]in the code holds all the values required for an EA, and pl[15] holds the Labels. Now for the tricky part. An EA to test CRS. Cheers Pat ps - Steve. Congratulation !! |

Steve has already started on the EA in the Automated section below. You might want to pm him and let him know about the indicator and whether it might be more efficient to use a single indicator's value instead of the three I use. Quick question, does this update with every candle and reset at the end of the day? |
