Renamed EasyScalingScript in that, as well as manual drag StartPrice settings, you can use sangmanes brilliant EasyOrder system.
Start EasyOrder Script, select type of order, it drops StartPrice (green), TP(blue) & SL(red) lines on the chart.
Start EasyScalingScript & it recognises & uses these values. This means you can change relative TP & SL for every order simply by drag a line.
Total Vol. size for a certain SL now accurately reflects % of Account if set, and log, linear & fixed scaling can be selected.

Please don't expect this to work on penny orders (0.01 vol) or where StartPrice is too close to Ask - your data source will have a minimum distance.
There is a NoTradeDebug mode, which shows values & lines but no actual trade, so you can find out what you are doing wrong.

based on the attached scipt is it possible to have 2 versions , 1 for buy ,1 for sell
and if a drag and drop the script on the graph it open a position directly athe current price , this is why i will use 2 scripts one for buy , one for sell ....

i hope to be clear enough , an old trader who just start to discover script and EA , just to make my life a bit easier

thank's for your patience

Has anyone tried this or got it to work?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong or have the wrong combination of variables, but i've tried everything and still can't get this working...

Any help appreciated..

Are you using the script in Post #1? Nothing to it.

In the Navigator window click on the script and drag it to the chart. It will set the line whenever you release the left mouse button. A window comes up. If you don't like what it says, change it.

Next, you get a Buy or Sell box. Answer the question.

If you want to change the defaults, open the script, make the changes, save and compile.

Okay? :roll:

Hello

thank you for the script

works perfect

will really appreciate if u can add

1) when the mouse is dragged on to the chart the price to be displayed around the cursor
to get a more precise entry

2) can u add the Hedge function like in MTPM global
With the Same SL_TP feature, and equal to all the scale trades

Thanks Again

Sorry. Take a closer look at Post #1. I didn't write it.

Post subject:  Re: Script for Scaling in orders

Good Morning,

I am always grateful for the help i receive in the forum and was hoping someone can help me out again! I promise I will give something back someday!

I have been using the very useful attached script (post 1) in my trading.

I would really like for a few key actions to be added to it if someone with coding skills wouldn't mind?

1. I would like the pending orders to expire after a chosen period. This could either be done via an input at time of placing or by me changing some code and saving with a different name each time. My coding is so basic i can just about amend the code at the start which changes lot sizes etc!

2. Based on the time frame i set i would like the comments field to be populated with the title of the script plus the set expiration timeframe.

3. Once the orders have expired then all objects should also be removed. In fact, i am not so bothered about the arrows etc been on from the start, can they be removed from even been placed?

I understand this is work for someone for nothing in return so if you can help me out on that basis i would be really grateful!

Shout if anyone has any questions, thanks in advance.

Trying to get scaling to work with EasyOrder and not having much success! Error 131 on log.
What are the settings to get Easy Scaling to use EasyOrder trade entry?
Any tips appreciated.

Cheers

I wonder if anyone has ever thought of a scale in based on ATR.
I have been reading about the Turtle experiment and one thing that trully caught my attention is the scale in based on ATR.

If somebody can be so kind as to add the ATR option to the scrip, as this should work well with any trend trading strategy.

some of the inputs needed is,

//-- Orders to be opened
#define PendingOrders 3 // Amount of pending orders to be added

//-- Money management
#define RiskPercent 2 // Risk for initial trade
#define RiskDecrease 0.5 // Risk decrease for the next trade

//-- ATR and multipliers
#define ATRPeriod 20 // ATR Period to use
#define ATRStopMultiplier 2.5 // Multiplier for the initial stop-loss
#define ATROrderMultiplier 0.5 // Multiplier for further pending orders

thank you for any help

Made some minor mods to this script.
You can now open a market order as the first position.
I also made a dirty change which allows placing orders close to TP when using SameSL_TP. For example, you can now set 5 trades, 10 pips apart with an initial TP of 50 pips on teh first order (and a TP of 10 pips on the final order). It's a minor mod but one that I felt needed to be made.
I haven't checked all the features to see if I broke anything in the process but it looks as though it should be ok.
Let me know if I fudged something up.
Cheers,
BobbyT
