I noticed that this EA does not work with pending trades on the chart, so I have modified it such that it does. I'm including it here so that others may find it useful.

With this modification, it's possible for me to save this EA as part of the "default" template, such that when charts are opened, I have it running by default. It then waits for a buy or sell trade to take place manually or via pending trades, and apply the respective TP or SL. Yes, I can be forgetful in placing (hidden) SLs, so the idea for this EA helps me tremendously in this respect.

I use it every day for practically every trade I take and it does a great job with TPs and SLs. It however has some quirks that I’m hoping you’ll have the time to help resolve. In order of importance, they are as follows:

1. Its operation goes haywire whenever there is more than one trade on the chart and time frames are changed or the platform is closed and re-opened. It simply lumps all TPs and SLs together into one SL and one TP! Otherwise, it works great for multiple trades as long as the Time Frame is not changed and the platform is not closed.

2. As it is, you must set a SL value to use the EA. If the SL value is set to 0, it just closes the trades within seconds! Also, it uses the same set distance of hidden pips for both SL and TP.

3. It has problems with pending trades still! If a pending trade is present on the chart, it lets of an endless stream of the same error message saying: “Click and drag 310468667 CheckForSLineDrag() stop loss modification failed with error 1: no error”. Rthien was supposed to have, in this version, modified Steve’s original version to sort this issue, but his modification was to no avail – at least that is my finding with my broker (Alpari UK).

4. It only manages trades with ONE magic number on the chart it is on. So if there are say, 3 GBPUSD trades with 3 different magic numbers, you need to have 3 charts of the pair open and to attach the EA to each, specifying each different magic number in each. This is quite cumbersome.

Marc, I know these issues may take a while to look at and I am also aware that you must have other pressures on your time, so I am not expecting them to be resolved today/tomorrow (...), but I will be deliriously grateful if there is ANY of them you can help correct in time. I am hoping you can:

1. Get the EA to reorganize itself according to its settings when chart time frame is changed or the platform is closed and re-opened. It will be great to use the safety on/off feature used by Steve in the MA Entry EAs in which a small dialog box comes up (when the TF is changed or the platform is closed and re-opened) and asks if the user wants to continue the use of the EA, whereupon, if Yes is clicked, the EA is reapplied to the chart with the previous settings.

2. Give it a new ManageTP option that will manage TP values only if set to true. This will allow a SL to be set without having to set a TP.

Give it a new ManageSL option that will manage SL values only if set to true. This will allow a TP to be set without having to set a SL.

Give it a new TPPipsHiddenFromCriminal option that will allow a hidden pips value that will apply only to TP.
Give it a new SLPipsHiddenFromCriminal option that will allow a hidden pips value that will apply only to SL.
So TPPipsHiddenFromCriminal and SLPipsHiddenFromCriminal will replace PipsHiddenFromCriminal.

3. Get the EA to accommodate existing and added pending trades which when tripped will be automatically influenced according to EA set options.

4. A new ManageByMagicNumber option that will allow multiple comma-delimited magic numbers to be specified for the EA

By the time these issues are resolved, we would have a completely different trade management EA.
