They don't.. You can download the indicator on my thread and try it for yourself.
I use it on a 5 min-timeframe. I buy/sell when price pierces through the MA. When it moves 10 pips against me I double my position, when it moves 10 more pips against me I double my position again, until it retraces 10 pips and I'm in profit.
Long trade on EUR/USD 5 min timeframe as we speak!

Call me skeptical, but I'd have to watch it myself to believe it. That picture shows the red line starting to move up at about 08:00, even though the market is still moving down at that point. But then, surprise, the market starts moving up and miraculously the band just exactly contains the up move. Either that indicator can predict the future, or it repaints, or something else is going on.
