Thanks Nufty. Fred, I like your thinking and I can see the dilemma. Where do you decide if it is a reversal or just a pullback? Maybe other indicators like a MA, Pivot Lines etc. I think I'd be more inclined just to either lock in at least break even and trail a stop. I guess you could mix it up a bit if you had multiple trades open in the same direction. Look at the bigger picture, so to speak. Just a bit of info regarding my 2x indicators. The MACD Platinum takes its signals from the change in colour of the dots from red to blue. Seems to work fine is you just use the standard default settings for MACD of 12,26,9. QQE Adv was from Forex Rebellion. I use it a little different as I don't necessarily wait for a cross over the horizontal line to take a signal, just take it on the cross of the 2x squiggly lines. Default settings of 1,8,3 seems to work okay. As you can see from a previous post, I do mix these settings up a bit. The QQE & MACD Dual Signal just puts buy and sell arrows on your chart based on the indicators settings. Basically you don't really need the indicators on your chart as these arrows are quite good and give you an excellent visual on exactly where the entry takes place. Remember it is on the open of the candle following the arrow. If you want to get rid of those horizontal lines when you put this indicator on the chart, just go into the LineLength input and change it to '0'. Cheers. Jim |

Hey guys, just a quick update to advise that I have put this EA onto one of my demo accounts just to forward test it a little. It is with MyFXbook and you can see the account update in my signature block. This is a demo account I have had running for a while with other trading methods. Basically a $10K account and the balance was $12,294.77 when I put this EA into action on the 1st July. There are multiple pairs and it is only trading 0.01 lot at the moment, just so I can get a feel for it. I have also loaded the EA onto a live account, but this account is not yet hooked up on MyFXbook. Cheers. Jim |

Just a slight modification to my demo account settings. I have increased the base lot size to 0.05 lot as just not getting enough bang for my buck with the small 0.01 base lot size. I am trading 8x pairs here with slightly different break even and trail stop points. Seems easy enough to manage at the moment and keeping my margin levels under control, even with what appears to be a large number of trades open at the same time. I'll get a full week of trading done next week with these settings to see where I am at. Looking forward to it....cheers. Jim |

It all seems to be going along okay for now. I have gone away from hard stops, break even points and trailling stops for now. The settings I am using on the 4hr charts are 9,20,6 & 1,6,2 so there are quite a few trades. Mind you this is the 4hr charts so it can be a bit like watching paint dry at times, even with 8x pairs going. If things go okay, I may increase the number of pairs as there are still plenty available to trade. Also as my margin requirements are being kept pretty well under control due to the hedging strategy, I am going to increase my base lot size again. I am also finding that I am able to offset losses by partially closing a profitable trade to cancel out a losing trade. Early days still, and even though I am now running this EA on 4x live accounts, it is gently gently with them. The demo account is where I push the limits to see exactly where I am at. Cheers. Jim |
