You'll have to confirm with cTrader, but sounds about right. Cheers, Jeremy |

I guess it goes without saying that I'm just waiting for the day when I can open a GP cTrader account? |

Now wouldn't that be nice! I notice Jeremy has been kind enough to suggest another broker, IC Markets, at times. They happen to have cTrader, I might open a demo and see if I can wean myself of Empty4. |

I have used ic markets. I am not the best person to speak to about brokers but I had times of negative slippage more than a few times which will almost never happen with market maker brokers. You will almost never get negative slippage even with a so-called honest market maker. I say almost never because there's always that 0.001% exception but I have yet to see it. Also I never had any trouble with them other than some price feed issues which were supposedly fixed after a server upgrade some time ago. For those that don't know what negative slippage is, it's when you get a better price then you asked for. The most common scenario is when price blows through your take profit. If your tp was 1.35000 on a long and price blew through it, it wouldn't surprise me to get filled at 1.35030. Negative slippage is important because with negative slippage you are getting your slippage back on the trades that you had positive slippage. The only other really common situation of negative slippage is when you have a limit order for entry. Technically a tp is a limit order but that's an abstract topic not worth spending time on. |

Quote below form the link. http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-for ... orm-2.html "....most regulated brokers are licenced to act as counter parties to your orders, so it's their choice to do so or send the orders to the LPs. However unlike most platforms out there cTrader is a true No Dealing Desk Platform and it forces the broker to fill you using the Prices of the stream of the LP so the execution will be the same in all cases. cTrader does not allow any Price Manipulations, Price Injections, Stop Loss hunting Dealing Desk Rejects or Re - quotes and thus is very different from other platforms that you are used to...." Question - Do cTrader Brokers have the ability to pad the spread? I'm currently running four concurrent cTrader Brokers and note significant differences between them on high liquidity pairs, even around London Open. eg Fiber 0 to 1.2 My assumption is that 1.2 cannot be a Liquidity Provider or Accumulator spread, hence the cTrader Broker must be padding the spread. |
