I don't understand if backward signals are reliable , i mean what i see looking at the past in the chart is what I would had seen in live ? (meaning that indicators repaints itself). It's not to criticize at all, but just to know if i can do some visual backtest while waiting for market open.

In my experience from last week live using the backwards signals are mostly reliable..

I confirm Tommaso`s finding. I was another tester last week. Trading LIVE made just short of 500 pips (mainly H4 and some H1). I am an average trader who is well below Bold`s , Al`s or Bob`s, standard (they are in a different league). Made many mistakes and missed a lot of trades. Moreover, we are not in a strong trend period as this point in time. Despite all these facts the system proved to be resilient. Trust me, if you follow Bob`s instructions you will make MONEY trading this system.

So if i get it right , do you confirm that in the attached eu chart (could be any other pair) red line switched from long to short around mar 17 , stayed short until today without never switched back and forth long/short (meaning that after march 17th we only had to take short) ?
If it's so then this indicator is amazingly accurate! :shock:

there can always be short switches of the actual bar but this is caused from some spiking at exp.., the alert system uses for beeing more reliable, values a stoch 2.1.1 which is only very 15 minutes recalculated, for avoiding wrong alerts...

Hi all,

10.7/8/9 looks v. exciting - great work Bob & Tommaso & others. Thank you for the evolving systems.

In my quest to understand the validity of historical chart lines I was looking up the formula for stoch & trying some calculations by hand(!).

stoch211cc (on close/close)
%k=(close-LC/(HC-LC)*100
HC & LC for the lookback period=2
(highest close & lowest close)

Now my understanding of the stochastic oscillator used with settings 2.1.1 on close/close & weekly timeframe is that it will return 0 if the currently forming close is less than the previous weeks close, and it will return 100 if the currently forming close is greater than the previous weeks close.

Is that correct Bob/Tommaso/anyone else?

Can you make an auto version of this ?
The rules look fairly automatable.
Was considering doing this myself but realised there was no point in trying to reinvent the wheel .... seeing that you are already intimately familiar with the code.
