A look back at NFP. First the lead consolidation. Nothing to trade here. Now with the second chart we see NFP. The Magenta vertical line is 1230 or 0830 US est. Observe the 1 minute ribbon crosses. Lead in build up in volume. Where the 2:1 stochastic's Yellow and Red together drop. Look what the Heiken Ashi gives you in consistently signaling solid moves and trend. Taking in the whole picture. I love the yellow 60 2:1 average. It does a good job of leading the Blue stochastic and if not leading it confirming it for entries. Not as good at exits. Does a good job of overall marking out 5 min trend. However look how good the 1 min Ribbon is at signaling a change. You could have entered and exited with the crosses on the one minute. It is going to be almost impossible to trade by alarms on the 5 min so I am debating whether to turn them off all except entry alarms on the pairs I am most likely to scalp. I will be turning off exit alarms on the 5 minute. It will be easy to do since we have a separate 5 min Stochastic. Just make your self a template than with them on or off. The 5 minute is a trading time period you will be hands on. It is best trade in the juicy parts of the Asian, London, or London/US overlap. However that simple little power chart I included can be used to let you know if anything is going on worth looking at. Usually you will see something worth wild around 10 and higher in the 4 hour column. You will also see in the pair column Strong Pairs automatically moved to the top. If AUD is strong both AUDJPY or EURAUD will move to the top because it is using an absolute value of the number. It resets itself every 4 hours. Starting over. I use the windows magnifying App to blow up the top of the Power chart. I than push the computer away and watch a show or read the forum glancing over to see if there is a move on. I know I have talked about this before but it works. If you have low Barry volume on the 5 minute. It is really low. It is not reliable this stuff although you might have gotten 10 to 20 pips as the afternoon wore on it was hardly worth sitting by the computer to trade. About 48 pips down and little more up but EURUSD has been a yawn lately. [/b] |

Anytime I see ribbons like this in order it indicative of trend and momentum. I think of this as riding the rail. Perfect example of NZD becoming strong. 5 min 15 minute same pair and time. Cheers, Doug[/b] |

Hi Doug: Many thanks for your time, efforts and for displaying your talents on coding. I regularly visit your posts while browsing Bob's ( of course )! It is very sad that other than you (& Bob) none responds to these writings. Nevertheless, hope you would not lose interest. I am sure many benefit and unable to communicate / express. Keep your sharing going.. thx

Thanks, If you looked at the 4 hour CSS you would have notice at the time that the NZD was at the top and the USD at the bottom. Go to the ribbons and you will see this in the ribbons. Ordered pairing means traders agree. Thanks for participating, Doug, |

Slowkey, This is great stuff. I have been looking for a scalping program that incorporates bobs strategy, and your dynamic S/R ribbons seem to be what the doctor ordered for exits and entrys accordingly. I would ask if you don't mind, could you explain your powerchart a bit more to understand how to implement with your charts correctly. Lionsden TIA |

Lionsden ... There is a template in the bundle called power chart. It is already set up to arrange automatically the weakest to strongest moving pairs from weak at bottom to strong at top. The ones at the top are the most active. On this chart in the power 4 column Green/lite green means positive Base currency and red/orange negative means the Counter currency. It does not matter which side is strong because the order is done by absolute value of the number. So you always get the strong at the top. Here at present time the Green numbers correlate to the left hand column with the USD, EUR, GBP strong against a weak JPY. However if the color would have been Red in the power column than JPY would be strong and the former weak. I hijacked this from a 10.2 indi forum and set it up to do it this way. I just use the two columns with the yellow box around them. What makes it convenient is the power numbers and the arrangement by absolute number value. That puts the pairs most active at the top of the left hand column no mater whether the base is strong or counter currency strong. There is nothing you have to do to set it up. Just apply the power chart. I than use it to see which pairs are starting to heat up. That and the CSS. I find that if I make a trade with a pair at the top and it does not have a power number over 10 it leads to a poor result. Over 10 and things start heating up. So I push the computer away. Laptop stand. Than I relax and watch a show looking at the chart every so often to see if its heating up. I actually blow it up real large with the magnifier that comes with windows. That is all there is to it. Cheers, Doug [/b] |

Slowkey, That is as simple as it gets. I appreciate that info further. Do you also use it as an exit strategy if the numbers go below absolute 10 and you are in that position or do you rely on the sto of choice? TIA Lionsden |
