I decided to let James have his own demo yesterday.

First trade taken, so along with Shelley's trades it looks as though the buy code is working as intended.

James took this trade on my demo today as well.

I decided to add squalou's SR indi and use it for TP & SL, so far good with 2 trades closed in profit, 1 closed for loss and 1 still open.

AUDUSD +57 pips

NZDUSD -17 pips (Sq's S&R lines were very tight and didn't give the trade much room to move, if left to run trade would currently be slightly up right now)

Latest update in post 1.

Still no new trading strategies - I want to tweak the existing one so that the code is correct when I start copy/pasting/editing to add new ones.

It dawned on me that we can save a lot of processor power. BOVB is an oen-of-the-D1-candle strategy, so we do not need calls to Rsi at every tick. I have changed the code so that there is just one reading taken, at the open of the new candle.

This may or may not be true, but I could not care less.

This thread is about automating the synopses presented by Shelley and I shall not respond to anything else. Thanks anyway, but I shall be doing nothing with your somewhat enigmatic thread.

Sorry Steve, missed this in Post 1 - I was adding notes on this method really as this is what I have been trading for the past few years manually. Agree that until this is all nailed wrt to BVOB then adding other methods etc would complicate things.

Damn .. I went on a vacation and looks like missed a lots of fun!

James 16 is the thread that taught me everything about PA. Glad to see the EA on motion. Thanks Steve for the coding and Fxozgirl for ideas. Good luck to you both.

I have done some backtests and found settings which worked fine.
Testing in EURUSD D1 chart from Jan.2003 to Dec.2011 (tick-level, 90%)

Setfile and complete statement is attached.
