Steve, confirm that Bob is using LWMA 240 set to "Open".... agree that it doesnt make a big difference, especially not on in this context....

I just started yesterday testing the OAD bot with quite good results. OOTB except Broker time 10:00 - 18:00

Time thingy is working like a charm for me. I am using the local time option of the OAD (Germany, GMT+2 DST), while my broker's time is GMT+3. Settings for each day (mon - fri) send 09:00 lcl, close 18:00 lcl. The EA is running on a blank EURUSD D1 chart.

I had an idea a few minutes ago, inspired by the fact that I have been manually closing baskets when happy with the profit already made and not wanting to hand it back at order close time should those markets continue to move against me.

Copied from post 1:
  • CombinedOpenCloseTargetPips: trades close at TP, leaving behind the losers. OAD will close the remainder of the basket when Closed_pips - Open_pips reaches this value. A zero input turns off this feature.
Find the input in 'Basket trade management'. If I had this in place about 90 minutes ago before the chaos caused by the EU news, I would have been out at c. +75 instead of down c.200. :oops:

Hey ho. The default of 75 might be ambitious and 50 might be better. We shall see.

I've been away from trading for a while and decided to come back for some more Hopwood fun :clap:

Please help me recall, isn't there an EA or an Indicator that makes a chart of the combined pair values which would help determine best market time to open these baskets?
