Two trading styles
Bob's describes his original idea in post 1 of his thread. Some members write later on about how they like to 'fade' the trend. My understanding of this is, taking a buy as an example: set a buy limit x pips below the session open. B2BT allows both or either styles of trading using the TradeTheTrend and TradeTheFade inputs. Both styles have their own take profit, stop loss, comment, magic number, buffer from the open at which to set the stop order and expiry minutes inputs.
Having read Jemook's comments http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 45#p100045 I was wanting to check it out but am unable to find neither the TradeTheTrend nor the TradeTheFade inputs using the F7 key or the Editor.

Early results with B2BT followed the usual plunge that accompanies any new EA. The moment I engaged Bob's 240 H4 MA filter, things improved and I finished the week up 223 pips on demo.

I suggest you guys pay this bot a tad more attention. It may not have a future, but we shall see.

Just managed to run the ea since yesterday because of problems with my laptop.

The 10k demo trading 0.1 lots is just breaking even.

A snapshot of the performance today, bearing in mind NFP just over 23 min ago. I don't trade during NFP one hour before and only resume half an hour after.

I close all trades manually at 4 pm UK time, and will resume demo again on Monday.

The results are largely academic as I do not think anyone would let the ea run during NFP release.

However, the ea performed as it should and there were no errors reported.

Trading both TradeTheTrend and TradeTheFade, and UseBobMM set to true.

I have been studying this bot's behaviour in the past few days. The profits would appear to be eroded as the hours go by.

The bot's strategy is based on price momentum at the session open. I reckon you have to take what the market gives you during each session as Bob suggested.

So, I have decided to set MPTM for global closure at 1% of balance during each session. If this is not achieved, then I would close all trades manually three hours into each session whether they are in profit or loss. Rinse and repeat for the next session.

In four trading days and one session, the bot has made 1.4% profits (209 pips).

Further refinement would involve picking which pairs to trade for each session as Bob suggested, for example trade cad only during us session.

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has left the bot running.
