I am on multi broker account: fxcm, jfd brokers, armada markets, markets AND the same probel " common error" server (en français "erreur standard") since the auto live update buid 735 !!!

I shunted firewall, authorized the iternet connection, the 443 port ...nada, same problem every where.

Please help me.
You can try this:
-Close platform and restart your computer
-Check your connection. If running fine, turn off router – leave for about 30 seconds and then turn back on
-Try temporarily disabling anti-virus software or internet security programs
-If you have another computer, try it on there first to see whether it is a connection or computer problem
-Make sure you have selected the correct server at Log-In. For example, if you are on the Demo account, please connect to the ‘Demo Server’
-On the right-hand corner in the bottom, click on the connection bars icon. Click ‘rescan servers’. If this does not change the server connection status, select another server centre.

I f this all will fail you must contact your broker..

I was forced to update to 735. Now I can no longer log in to my accounts. There is a "common error" (status line message bottom right). I tried with 2 brokers and 5 accounts (demo and live). Same problem everywhere

No firewall, authorized 443 port etc etc the same problem:

common error, erreur standard, no loggin, black screen on the charts.

Tommaso, all functions correctly on my computer except Empty4 SINCE the 735 update !! Internet is ok, firewall is ok (same pb when no firewall and pc restart) etc

Metaquotes are in question in my opinion but not on all the accounts, odd!!

I found out the problem is related to WinXP. Build 735 works on Win7 or higher.
My VPS was still running WinXP. That's why I had the problems.

So you have three options:
1. Downgrade Empty4
2. Upgrade windows
3. Ask Empty4, if the next build will support WinXP again.

1. Download terminal.exe build 670 (this is a stable one) from here http://www.forexfactory.com/attachment. ... 1412836666
2. Close Empty4
3. Copy terminal.exe build 670 to your Empty4 program directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Empty4\) and overwrite terminal.exe build 735
4. Edit your Empty4 shortcut on the desktop or Start Menu and add command line parameter /skipupdate (e.g. “C:\Program Files (x86)\Empty4\terminal.exe” /skipupdate)
5. Re-start Empty4 from the shortcut

Re Gary's post just above this one the method works so long as the crappertrader is supported by your broker. I never allowed my live GP trader to update from build 646. I copied it to all my demos and the problems with the latest jerrybuilds have disappeared.

Attached is my 646 GP terminal; try it and see if it works for you.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of doing this, replacing the terminal also wipes out the account login password so make sure you've got it written down first. I always use a disposable email for demos and don't write down the passwords after they've been saved so 3 demos down the tubes for me and after all the bother and stress of restarting and reloading them every other day I'm can't say I'm sorry to see them gone :lol:

Should "Allow modification of Signal Settings" be checked or not for the recent Secret Bob stuff?

As I understood this funtion, it has only to do with signal Subscriptions
MQL4: Added access to signals database and managing signals subscription from MQL4 applications.

Now, you can receive the list of signals, evaluate them according to your own criteria, select the best one and subscribe to it automatically from an MQL4 program. In fact, it means the advent of the new class of trading robots that scan available signals from time to time and subscribe to the one that is most suitable at the moment.

To do this, the new families of functions have been added to MQL4 language:

SignalBase*() — functions for accessing the signals database.
SignalInfo*() — functions for receiving signal settings.
SignalSubscribe() and SignalUnsubscribe() — subscription management functions.

Thus, you are now able not only to copy trades but also to select signals for copying. Both processes are automated.
By default, a trading robot is not allowed to change signal settings for security reasons. To enable this function, tick the "Allow modification of Signals settings" option in Expert Advisor settings.

Thanks Tomasso. I'm at wits end trying to figure out why my installation of Secret Bob Basket isn't taking any trades and I wondered if that setting might have something to do with it.
