Slightly up overall but I definitely need to think about the basket settings a bit more as I didn't get all the GU move.

The link I posted above should still work. On my phone at the moment.

All functioning correctly I think - slight variation in the results ccsLib returns from the indi but no big deal for now - I will try to work out why as the indi would get in a bar or 2 earlier.

Hi Steve and Dave

One small change to the ootb EA in post 1 is the 240MA is currently set to SMA (MaMethod=0) when it should be LWMA (MaMethod=3)

Steve & anyone else trying this. Anyone seeing big RAM hits with the EA? I can only assume it is the clowns at Metaquotes as I opened another demo and my whole pc went on strike (and it is a monster pc). I checked and each Empty4 instance was using just short of 2GB of RAM Vs 500MB or so for the next greediest :shock: I am guessing it has something to do with the CSS Library as I know they had problems with a previous release and memory leaks causing things to randomly close. This is a bit different as the memory usage doesn't grow - it's just huge from the off!! I initially thought it might be having the CSS indi on each chart but there is no difference when it is removed.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it as it is difficult to test more than one instance as it is and even that is not easy. :arrrg:

I am not experiencing the problem. I just sat and watched the cpu meter for a couple of minutes and the CSB terminal is usually taking between 2 to 5% with just occasional spikes.

Having the CSS library code subsumed within the EA makes it very efficient and the bot reads the MA once a minute, so there should not be a problem.

It helps that I am running build 670 and am avoiding all the fun that people are having with the latest jerrybuilds.

I don't have any CPU issues with it Steve it is just a memory issue. So if I go to task manager I see this (below). Guess which one is CSB? :?

I was on 670 too but upgraded this terminal as a test to see if it cured the problem - no change unfortunately.

If it's just me then no worries - but if not then some people will have real issues as this is a beast of a pc it's running on here. There just might not be any solution anyway if it is a metaquotes issue.

Oh well just me then! :?

I made a change over the weekend that I'll test out but I think makes good sense. As we are looking at slope crosses I just put in a check to make sure the lines are divergent when the cross happens. This should get rid of some of the minor crosses that happen when the CSS slopes are just meandering with no real intent.

The MustBeDiverging input:
Merely having the relative strength indexes of the two pairs crossing is often not enough. For example, they might both be weakening, but if the first currency is weakening more slowly than the second, then there will eventually come a useless 'long cross'. Ok, so the trade might succeed; more likely it will close at the next recross. We need the currencies in the pair to be moving strongly, so MustBeDiverging ensures:
  • Buy:
    • first currency in the pair is up and accelerating.
    • second currency in the pair is down and accelerating.
  • Sell:
    • first currency in the pair is down and accelerating.
    • second currency in the pair is up and accelerating.
Probably means we will get one trade every 6 months, but as coded the bot has been a guaranteed loser so it is worth trying.
