Templates go in the template file. See the attachment... There are perfect instructions in either Bobs HGI thread or the EA thread, on exactly how it's all done. I forget which one, but Steve most likely wouldn't tolerate such a question in the EA thread, so start with Bobs place. Though my foggy brain seems to recall, someone indeed sneaking that question though the EA thread over the weekend (and getting it answered) when Steve was asleep. Sorry I can't tell you which one. Lucky for you, the threads aren't that long yet |

Hi, Thanks a lot for your reply! Yeah I totally understand that questions like these can be massivly annoying. When you say "EA-Thread" which one exactly do you mean? Just a general EA thread explaining how to install complicated EAs, or a specific one? I will put on my hunting hat, and hunt down the thread :hi: cheers from AT Greg |

Nor would it matter if you had. As I remarked with increasing asperity in the HGB thread, the EA takes trades from the indi signals. Not entirely sure why you are mentioning the EA in the manual HGI for beginners thread. Earlier I had to put up with some dimwit asking indi questions that belong in Bob's thread in the HGB thread. Tell you what guys. I will impose some discipline around here and start deleting posts in the wrong thread. Maybe that will concentrate your minds. Do not be surprised when your post disappears guys. It is me doing the disappearing of it. And that includes the dummies' threads. I am on the warpath. |

Good questions. The range arrows are determined by the slope not the 60 line. The 60 lines is a reference point to help confirm the arrows. Whether the arrows are big or small is determined by strength of move. The strength of move is determined by the slope not the 60 line. So price could be outside the lines but the slope will show that price has moved from strength to weakness thereby giving you the small arrow. This small arrow shows that the move has exhausted itself and a strong move should not be expected. This can happen outside both lines and should mean price will now go inside the 60/240 lines. While inside the 60 and 240 you could get a large arrow showing that a currency is strengthening according to the slope. This is a good sign that price will break into a trend move. So with the 60/240 lines and the strength of the arrows you should be able to deduce whether price is going to go inside and be a range time/reversal time. If inside the 60/240 or touching them the arrows should show which way it will break to become a trend. So that is how you can read them together. |

If this is a duplicate, my apologies but I can't find what I thought I posted. Or, it was disappeared for not being in the dummies thread? If so, apologies for that as well. I installed the updated v15.01.ex4 and it's template in their respective folders, loaded them on a chart with 1 open and several pending trades and got this showing a zillion losing trades that don't exist- please, what have I done wrong and how do I fix it? I did delete the old templates from the folder. Thanks. Leslie |

Open Objects list under Charts - select everything and delete - one of the MA's is also black - you might want to change that too... |

Further to your question templates go in that templates directory in the picture Open the MQL4 directory and put your EA and indicators in there (more directories in there, you should be able to figure out which ones.) Just remember templates are the odd one, everything else goes in MQL4. To get there open the menu in Empty4, File->Open Data Folder |

Here is a question for the coders. I code as well and I can't figure out how you guys can draw all over the chart and nothing shows up on the objects list when I right click on the chart and select objects list. Is this some new magical function? Looking to learn something here |
