Hi Steve, One final question based on your last comment. I'm currently in the process of choosing a broker to demo on and then go live. I was going to go with FXCM but noticed your comment about Global Prime. May I ask why you use them? I am also based in Australia so happy to use an aussie company if they are reliable. Maybe you think that GP is SHF's Official Broker because I think they are a crowd of dimwits? Or because they own SHF? Or because they sponsor SHF? Do not think even for one second that I am exaggerating; deposit $50,000 with one of those cowboys if you want; there will only ever be one winner and it will not be you. Listen up buster. I could not give a gnat's fart for your previous experience. The fact that you are here shows that you have an interest in Forex trading. Ok, so given the 'quality' of your previous posts, I assume this interest will be short as you show every sign of being the kind of dimwit who will refuse to take advice and so lose all your cash. This forum has contributions by some of the best minds in retail Forex trading. Take note of what they say or piss off and find something less financially damaging than ignoring them and trying to trade Forex. Try betting on Newt races run by the Russian Mafia. Hey, you might even learn a bit from reading the forum owner's posts. You might consider him to be an idiot, but actually he has been around this stuff for nearly 10 years and knows a bit. Only a tit with a financial death wish totally ignores him. Then there are the major contributors here. We all 'grew up' together in Forex terms. We all started together about 10 years ago, In Another Place. The humour there will escape noobs, but the cognoscenti are gently giggling at the idiocy of your posts and my increasingly irritated replies. Trust me fella, some of them are drawing up their seats and buying their popcorn in anticipation of my eventual explosion, when I finally speak my mind to you. One of the points I made in my Welcome message to you when you first joined was this: silent lurkers are welcome; if you have nothing useful to say, then say nothing. You have nothing useful to say, so shut up. Ignore this instruction and one of two thingies will happen. I am in a good mood: you will be removed to that group of members who can do bugger-all here apart from read posts. I am in a bad mood - your registration gets removed. Capiche? Just a quickie here - note the nearly two years between the previous post and this one. I was looking for this thread for a dimwit with a craptesting obsession and it stirred a memory. Read a couple of posts up and see the criminal that poor cretin chorlton was considering opening an account with instead of instantly following the advice to open an account with Global Prime. chorlton was an idiot who has not visited our forum since. Even so, in light of FXCM's recent banning from being a brokerage in the US, I hope he did not go with them. The moral of this tale? You have a choice between xxxx and GP? Go with GP. Only an idiot with a financial death wish fails to do so. Keep doing what you do GP.   PS: bloody well stop backtesting. Read post 1 here. |

The only use I see for Empty4 testing is to see that your EA works and follows your logic. In other words if price crosses the 15 MA does it enter/exit. That it will tell you. I have run the tester many times and compared it to a week of live demo and a real live account. You will get three different results. So Steve is correct. The tester will let me know if the EA is working or not. |
