Had jaw surgery yesterday, so please bare with me with this. I'm a bit foggy from all the pain meds. So at the moment we place the main trade + 5 multis and then at the end of the week we delete any left over pendings. What I propose is for all the multi-trades to share one TS. Now I get that I'm not using the multi-trades how they were designed. Small TP, super large SL. I still need to run a forward demo to test that out. I think introducing a shared TS might be an idea to shave some pips off any multis that go against us when using custom TP/SL multi settings. Whether its detrimental by restricting breathing room, or its beneficial remains to be seen. I'll put this idea out there, but if no one else thinks it worth it, we can dropkick this one and move on. |

Nice idea Angat and whilst we are talking about Multitrades might it be an idea to have the 5 Multitrade trades placed at 20% of the ADR instead of the hard coded 20 pips, currency pairs with a low ADR struggle a bit with the 20 pip multitrades. |

It seems generally speaking February wasn't great for everyone. Some pairs I guess where ranging. PPoS gave us mixed results across many pairs. Well its only the first third of March and seems like we are having a pip explosion. An analogy comes to mind of a wind up toy. February the markets were winding up, March they released. Two things come to mind: A lot of my forward demos have huge pip balances. Do I want to venture down using a basket manager, I know some of you are doing that already. I'm in 2 minds, I kinda want to test how this EA manages on its own. But I do see the merits of using the basket manager. If you decided to use one with PP/PPoS, how are you getting on? Give some feedback please. Second thing, can we determine why February was mostly sideways for us. Some pairs were doing well, some weren't. Is it possible to select which pairs are doing well. Perhaps we should only be running 12 pairs in total and forget the rest? |

Here's an idea, could be rubbish again, but I'll post it as food for thought - what if the EA is not allowed to place any more trades for that currency pair if it's last X number trades for that specific pair were loser(s). And this could reset after Y number of days. |

I am most definitely using a basket manager, set at 5% for the week, so far two hits and currently up over 3% this week waiting for the other 2% and that's me done for the week. Yes Feb was pretty much sideways for me as well. I'm also testing on demo 4H, D1, W1 with no stop loss or take profit and basket trading to 5% with pending set at 10 pips, emergency shut down is set to 30%. So far early days but 5% hit twice so far with very small draw downs seen. Like I said though early days and given that I only started this recently (3 trading days) far too early to draw any conclusions. What about merging 2 very simple EAs to get complimentary results: PPoS + 3 Little Pigs. 3 Little Pigs: OVERVIEW The 3 Little Pigs is based on 3 timeframes, Weekly, Daily and 4 Hour. The idea is to “swing” trade in the direction of all 3 timeframes, a Buy signal, as an example: • Price is above the 55 Simple Moving Average (SMA) on the Weekly timeframe • Price is above the 21 SMA on the Daily timeframe • Price closes above the 34 SMA on the 4 Hour timeframe When the above conditions are met a Long position is opened. These are the basics - Sell is vice versa. We could apply these 3 conditions to PPoS, but I have absolutely no idea if it would be beneficial or a waste of time. Actually I'm not even sure if we would get trades, both systems might end up having contradictory conditions. It's an idea, whether we pursue it is another story. :hi: |

maybe you can try both EA's together, but merging both strategies imo would not be succesfull.. Cheers  Tommaso |

Nothing simple about PPoS any more. It is not as complex as HGB, but it is getting there. |
