My vote for next addition would be:

c - adding to the grid when a trade fills, so that there are always NoOfTrades 'pending' trades waiting to fill.

Have this loaded up on EurUsd to give it a shake. Probably be quiet today thou, few hols around the globe. But you never really know.

This makes sense, as does the earlier request for a basket stop loss. I am going to do nothing until the bot has run for a couple of weeks and we see how it performs.

We have seen some excellent spikes in the last couple of hours, and they have given me an idea.

How cool would it have been to have had Gertje's grid triggered by CBI?

New version coming soon - got a bit of a busy afternoon, but asap.

Been looking at those quick moves lately too. Love to be able to open a grid or hold pending trades in front of the moves. Need some way for an ea to move the (virtual) pending trades slightly ahead of normal price range.
Done a search on "CBI", is that Coppock Breadth Indicator. Shit thats old. :lol:

Will look to see if there are any threads here using that indi.

mmmm, thinking virtual trades would have to sit further back from price than I had been picturing.

Hello Steve! It seems there is a bug in "PipsBetweenTrades" input. If I want a grid with 10 pips distance I have to type 1 but it works for 3 digit pairs only. 1 for 5 digit pairs sets a grid with 100 pips distance. 0.1 value is not allowed in this input.

I was thinking about the same principle when I used your carolco Grid EA. We will see if it has a legs.

Yes. For a variety of reasons, I had to move the x-digit accommodation code to different functions, but forgot to remove it from the function (int init() ) that usually does the conversion.

See if the post 1 fix solves the problem and sing out if LUC asks his buddies around for coffee.

OK. Now it seems "PipsBetweenTrades" is working correctly but the bot is still opening trades again and again (About 30 sells and buys @ the same price)...

All my robots contain industrial strength code to avoid this problem provided by mbkennel. This works 99 times out of every 100.

Ok, so I picked those figures out of a hat, but they show the strength of Matt's code. It is occasionally defeated by a particular criminal. When this happens, the only thing you can do is change criminal.

I have coded ea after ea after ea using this code. When it does not work, it is because your crim has found a way to utterly destroy ea use. Need I say more?

Im demoing on Cowboy IBFX-AU and I think you use sometimes also this criminal.. Almost all your robots are working with this criminal so thats why I reported this.

I try Cowboy Go Markets Demo.. Will see..
