In this form I can see this indicator as very unique and very good information tool. The only things I miss is REAL BALANCE and REAL EQUITY. Including deposits and withdrawals. Only with addition of that two lines I could see it as complete indicator. renexxxx - Is possible to add that two thigs? PLEASE PLEASE  Or let me to edit mq4 for personal use. |

Dear Rene I absolutely love the TradeReport and TradeChart. They are amazing tools for analyzing overall strategies as well as how different pairs are performing  I would be interest in adding a couple of features to TradeChart. Please let me know you think this is practical. 1. Have the Balance/Equity plotted relative to zero instead of the opening Balance. This would then represent a Profit/Loss chart. 2. Plot Balance/Equity or Profit/Loss for selected pairs separately on the same chart. This way you can directly compare how each is performing over time. This would also allow us to see if the pairs are performing in sync or out of sync. Thank you again for all your time and effort Kind regards Richard |

I received this PM from Thomas: Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have made some changes and hopefully this is now resolved. There is one thing to keep in mind: It takes Empty4 quite a bit of time to iterate of the order history, especially if the account's order history is quite large (Eg. for an account that has been opened years ago and has many closed trades). There is nothing we can do about this. Setting a more recent StartDate doesn't help: it still needs to iterate through all all the historical orders and discard the ones that are before the start date (or do not match any of the other filter criteria) This takes time .... Therefore, I have set the update frequency to 30 seconds. This is sometimes even too much for some accounts. When you first start your terminal, you get an information screen with all zero's. This is because the account history hasn't been loaded yet (this is done asynchronously). Only after the first update (i.e. after 30 seconds) you will see useful information. In this release, I have also added the currency filter (similar to TradeReport). At some point, I intend to merge TradeReport and TradeChart into one (main chart) indicator (using the CCanvas class). This would be a logical step. However, I find it hard lately to get any free time, so this will have to wait. Update is in Post 1. Any issues, please let me know. |
