Did you ever get any trade opening using the default parameters Popov posted as the optimized ? It seems to me these parameters are to strong filters. Or not .... ?

Hello AGT, The EA parameters are explained in in that user guide page: Expert Advisor Options These parameters are necessary when the EA uses averaging. For example, if the Closing Rule of this EA was "Close at the end of the week", then there is a possibility the entry rules to be satisfied more than one time before the close. In such case: "Amount to add on addition" - determines how many lots we add to the open position. "Amount to close on reduction" - if the new deal is in the opposite direction, this number determines how many lots to close from the open position. These numbers take effect only when the strategy uses adding and/or reduction. Because there are several types of additions and reductions, you have to set them in Forex Strategy Builder. Please see full info and videos here: Strategy Properties "Ensure maximum Stop Loss" - this is an additional protection for the EA. When you set a number, the EA checks every open position at every tick if their SL is set and if it is not higher than the set value. This is design to protect the positions if the standard SL fails in some way (not set, removed, modified). |

Hello patmontes, The lowering of the entry criteria is useful only to see how the EA trades. I hope anyone understand that modification of the parameters without thorough back-test and analysis may (and in most cases will) lead to loosing trades. This EA is only an example of a basic setup. It must be re-adjusted for your broker and market. Trade Safe! |

We need a significant market move with a correspondingly high volume that last at least one hour. Than we open in the same direction for one hour. Such conditions do no happen every day or week. This expert shows that most of the time the EURUSD market has inertia after a such move. The FSB stats show that the EA has open position at only 1% of the available historical bars. It is more or less - 1 position per week. |

I got interesting positive results on the EURUSD with the modifed settings. However I now run into the problem that the EA requires so much calculation work that it slows down the EA in an unworkable fashion. Quite often I have to wait couple of minutes before the programme jumps forward with additoinal ticks. Checking if it has to do with my laptop I notived with other EA's now slwoing down. Have others the same experience and if so is there anything I can do to impeove the situation? Willem |

I personally switched from this version of the RC here to Steves ARC (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=4560) Using this bot since monday I dont have any calculation probs  |
