Updated EA & Scripts... Added user feedback with adjustable fonts and corner selection. Added checks to ensure trades had a stoploss... Buys with no stoploss prevented scale-ins, Sells with no stoploss caused scale-ins at maximum lot-size. Forced a fixed distance between trades of JumpingStopTargetPips + BreakEvenTargetProfit. Added an extra setting, "UseQuickProgStart" which allows scaling-in before JumpingStop has been moved beyond BreakEvenTargetProfit. First scale-in trade gets a soft stoploss (only monitored on your terminal, not on the server) of JumpingStopTargetPips * 0.4, and a hard stoploss of JumpingStopTargetPips. Second scale-in trade gets a soft stoploss of JumpingStopTargetPips * 0.8, and a hard stoploss of JumpingStopTargetPips. Subsequent scale-in trades get a normal stoploss of JumpingStopTargetPips. Have fun! Radar =8^) |

G'day, folks. So, I was playing with SM in the slacktester, and had 2 buys open, (using the QuickProg option), and everything was looking good until the 3rd buy was entered, at which point the display for "BuyLockedProfit" disappeared... I spent hours glaring at the code, waiting for the problem to jump up at me, but it refused to come out of hiding So, I went back to the slacktester, and played over the same time period, and it happened again (as it would)... This time, I looked in at the results tab, and found the cause... The locked-in profit of the 2 winning trades was $1.10, and the stoploss of the 3rd trade was $1.10 in the red, which gave me a total locked profit of $0.00! Since I'd coded the user feedback only to display the combined locked profit, & locked loss, it obediently removed that part. Time to edit some code... Go to the bottom of void DisplayUserFeedback() and change this... Code: Select all Code: Select all Another piece of editing... Go to void LookForScaleInOpportunities(int& Managed[], string OpType), and delete the following... Code: Select all Have fun! Radar =8^) |

Update... Added Stop & Limit orders... Can use either Horizontal lines, or Trend lines... Just park it in the right spot and name it one of either BuyStop, BuyLimit, SellStop, or SellLimit... If, like me, you keep forgetting what goes where with stop and limit orders, see here... |

Hey gang, Here's a little game we can play... Draw a trend channel... Name the top line BuyStop... Name the bottom line SellStop... Calculate 10% of the gap between the lines... Place a SellLimit that distance below the BuyStop... Place a BuyLimit that distance above the SellStop... BreakEven at 50% of the gap... BreakEvenProfit at 5% or 10% of the gap... TakeProfit at the opposite Limit order (80% of the gap). Turn One_Cancels_Other off... Now, we can play both inside and outside the channel (or breakout box). Profit is pretty limited with the current settings, though... I can add Channel/BOB specific settings if there's enough interest Have fun! Radar =8^) |

Hey Cubic, To be honest, I haven't looked The first time I saw a breakout box, I spent more time playing inside it than outside What I'll most likely end up doing is using Squalou's StairStep BreakOut indicator as a guide for placing my lines when price is going sideways, and use either a pitchfork or equidistant channel as a guide for the trends. Have fun! Radar =8^) |
