Thanks for posting these - I've only just got back to my PC since sending you the original emails and it's all go here!! I've also seen Remon's post above which adds an extra twist to his already brilliant idea (the fact that hedged trades are only hedged in memory to save the spread) but to be honest, that could easily come as an improvement later on because it looks to work without it!

The logic flow chart was my way of getting my head round the system - if anyone spots an error in it, let me know and I'll keep an updated version which will be a good intro to anyone new to the system.

I found it easier to understand the simulator having read your flow chart. Others will find it easier the other way around.

Try the simulator first folks. On the bottom left of the screen, the big right arrow simulates the market rising by one grid element; the big left arrow simulates what happens when the market falls by one grid element. Play with it for a few minutes if its meaning is not instantly clear - it was not to me. It is amazing.

Just to add to Steve's guidance above - keep the settings default. There are a few options that the simulator allows you to change which affect the way it trades. The default settings are for the method we're looking at - let's try to keep it simple (at least initially!) and all have a common understanding of how it works.

Whilst playing with the simulator I tried putting in huge spreads to simulate news events and moved in large directions both ways and still the profits kept on rolling. This is a seriously clever idea.

I had my doubts first with the strategy. But it seems it works because profits are kept longer and losses are being closed quicker, thus the big profits are taken on the market turn, while the new losses are hedged by previous small profits.

There is no fancy math involved in this, just a bunch of conditions. So should be easy to code. Looking forward to it, and might implement it myself too.

Edit: It probably does not even matter where the market goes. Judging by the simulator you just let it run on any market and it will do its thing regardless of trend.

Hi@ I just tried the simulator and it is really impressive... Remon is really a genius...
I think there is a bug in it...
when we start the trading in simulator, try the below steps....

1. press down one step (sell order 1 will be placed)
2. press up one step (no orders will be placed now)
3. press up one step (buy will be placed at the previous level and price is still at the previous level) - Is this correct? I'm not sure because here each movement is considered as a one level, but in reality, if we set 10 pips as level, then this might not happen i guess but you can confirm it...

Overall, this is a wonderful strategy and i was waiting for this idea to be converted into EA...(thanks a lot Steve for coding it). :clap:

Actually I am very excited now. I will try to code it on the weekend and give it a shot. Shouldn't be too difficult (I hope). Good work Remon and all! The simulator and flow chart look very useful.
