Wapen You failed to mention that this EA hedges. I'm in the US so can you tell me how to turn it off? MBT backtest lets the hedge go through. |

It should not hedges. As the trade must be closed when the new one open. I can see that the TP and SL are a bit off this is as a result of spread. I'm still testing and will ask Steve to make a view small changes. Wapen |

Also note that if you trade this on non-renko charts it will not work correct! |

Wapen, i just fired a demo with with EU, EJ, GU, GJ, EN, GN on def. settings. Im new to renko charts but really like to idea of looking at PA this way - could you tell me, when the EA is supposed to take its 1st trade? I placed it on offline charts as it was. Given post 1, only an idiot trades this on a non-Renko chart. Mind, there are a lot of people around who are too stupid even to read post 1 when trying to trade an EA posted by me. These clowns deserve everything the get.  |

Wapen It trades good now if we could control it on the turns, by the way here is why I thought it was hedging, see attached, maybe i'm just reading some thing into it! Where would we put the Trend MA or Keltner channel to trim the turns?? |

I have been trying to win with renko for 2 years. The backtest scores GREAT but the forward fails badly. There is another renko called spider which works off of the same principal as this EA but you double down which seems to make a big difference. My view is to use bigger bricks ,20 to 35. It gives the Ea room to win if the size provides us with enough bricks in a row which why I use the brick counter, see attached. It seems to give me a slight edge. Right now I'm using a 25 brick with your TP & SL at 1. I'll check back later. Can Steve or you add a keltner channel to the EA?? It can help with the turns, see attached! |

Wapen, Steve, thanks for this thread. Renko has always intrigued me, but never really succeeded with them. As Steve says the boxes look visually like it will be an easy one to trade, but at times can be tricky as!! I would love to test this with you all and post results, so far I am only doing as Wapen wrote, OOTB and TP 1 SL 2, as I become more familiar with it hope to contribute here. Thanks Marlene PS Was going to attach my stats thus far but having a slight problem with MyFXBook and SynergyFX not being able to connect. Will attach asap., mean time here is a screen shot. |
