Quick question which I can't seem to see in the manual.
If I take a trade and it gets hedged and then the initial trade hits it take profit target, does the hedge trade get automatically closed or stays open until the rules for closing a hedge are fulfilled?

Thanks, Steve. The additions look good. The only thing I do differently is I like to move my SL to BE at 1:1 rather than a specific # of pips. Another interesting variant I have seen is to use an ATR trail as soon as price starts moving, so if it does reverse, you don't get a full loss. Not sure if that would save money or cost profits by closing too early.

Also, I noticed in the manual that the additions are explained only under the Hedging section, but at least to me it's clear that they work the same as a trade exit.

Yeah, I know about having to go through your own old code, and try to figure out what the hell you were thinking when you wrote it! I have a multi-1000 line indicator (that I've never been able to convert to an EA) that can be challenging to update, but moving to HGI may just make that a moot point.

Steve, you are the best!!

So far I've been using this just to set the TP on all trades using a daily ATR, and it is working great. I can see all sorts of other good things to try out using HGI to assist closing trades just for starters. What a great tool!

Hi, Steve, not sure if you saw this before, but I found the solution, so thought I'd add that to the KB, in case you didn't already know. It is not the EA (obviously) but has to do with the fact that Empty4 doesn't pass LiveTrading permissions in certain circumstances. In this case, if you have a program, such as HGIMatrix which will open a chart when you click on an arrow, it uses ChartApplyTemplate to open it with your chosen template, HOWEVER, since it is an indicator that's opening the chart and does not have LiveTrading permissions, it prevents any EA in the template or added afterwards from functioning. I have an indicator which did open charts successfully without this problem but it only used ChartOpen which applies the Default template, not the (defective) ChartApplyTemplate, which would only work if opened from an EA (I think), not an indicator.

I saw it and ignored it and do not care. I never involve myself with problems experienced by others on their platforms.

The idea that I might be able to help is ludicrous. Do not attract my attention to it again.

This thread is about MPTM. Limit yourself to discussion of MPTM here. Talk about whatever you want elsewhere, until you irritate another mod sufficiently to attract an SHF ban. Warning: you may think you can get around a ban from prior experience elsewhere; SHF is different. Try it out and see.

V 1a is in post 1.

I had forgotten to implement code to react to IncludePendingOrdersInClosure and IncludePendingInClosure in the global closure and shirt protection functions. I have corrected this in 1a.

DIY'ers, do a search for "//Edit 26th Feb 2018" in 1a and copy the line of code underneath it. Find the relevant spot in your current file and paste the code.
