Thank you very much Thomas for inviting me! Will try to contribute to this subforum as good as I can. Few minutes ago, I tried the TDesk Arrows Eraser but it got removed right away after loading successfully (Experts Journal print). Arrows are still there... Did I do sth wrong? Cheers and thanks again, Mat :hi: |

Hi Mat. It is a script and disappears after it has done its work. You must call it, go to the settings tab, make your changes, then press OK. It does only delete TDesk arrows, not Player/Viewer arrows. Cheers Thomas |

Hi Thomas, Thanks for inviting me to the group of brainstormers. There is something I am trying to get my head around and forgive me for my simplistic mind. As I understand, Veto signals take precedence over every other signal in the solo or multi signal calculation. So if I for example have, and I will simplify for easy understanding. Example: I am only only trading Baluda superslope on the daily time frame and Peaky on the 1 hr timeframe 1682 bars ago for my Tdesk calculation and only use my solo signal for an entry entry threshold 100 and exit threshold 70. I set Peaky as my Veto signal in the "Veto signal List"with the Tdesk identifier. A-1) I have a peaky up arrow, ". So it now becomes the signal that takes precedence over everything else. -2) My superslope signal has a down arrow. Should it highlight the solo signal collumn with an up arrow with Peaky that takes precedence over all other signals? or should it show a flat signal because the two do not agree?. B) If I set " Signals to exclude" using Baluda's superslope with the "Tdesk identifier". Will it only take my Peaky signal into consideration for the overall solo signal calculation and highlight an up arrow and exclude Baluda's superslope?. C)I mostly want to enter when I get all signals in my favour and do not want to exclude any signals in the overall solo signal calculation as I have mentioned above. Is this more for a longer term signal that you want to have a view of, but do want to use it for the immediate solo signal calculation? or vice versa for a view of a long term signal that you do not want to include with the solo signal calculation? Thanks Thomas and forgive my stupidity, Cheers Leon |

Hi Leon. I know you have a sharp mind. Your questions are not stupid, they are very intelligent. Nope. Veto signals only affect the Super signals. They are the last and highest instance that must agree for a Super signal to become valid. The signal chain is Solo/Multi -> Super -> Veto. The Solo/Multi signals are not affected by the Veto signals. I wanted to show them in their basic state to not confuse things. Only Super signals are sent out to Desky. None of those. The Solo signal should be shown as DOWN as SS is DOWN. The Super signal should be FLAT as the Veto signal doesn't agree. Excluding a Veto signal means that it is not respected in the Solo and Multi signal calculation. So, if you want to enter only trades when all signals (including the Veto signals) agree, don't exclude the Veto signals. On the other hand, when a Veto signal doesn't agree, the Super Signal won't be directional anyway. Now, if you want to exit the trade when SS still agrees, but Peaky starts to disagree, make Peaky a Veto signal without excluding it. From my perspective, Veto signals are ideal for higher time frame trends or superior constellations that you do not want to trade against. Peaky is one of the best examples. Excluding/Including them in the calculation is somewhat redundant. Leon, you gave me something to think and I thank you for this. I will reflect on the Excluding/Including thing (especially as I have seen an error in my respective code right now). Most likely Veto Signals should always be excluded from the Solo and Multi signal calculation. Thanks a lot. Thomas You other masterminds, what do you think about that part? |

Dear Thomas Have TDesk Player up and running on a single chart and love it Here is my "brainstorming, no ideas get knee-capped' question Would it be possible to link the TDesk Player with Rene Balance/Equity chart (TradChart3) such that as you change the player settings you can see directly the effect on the profit/loss of that pair? Then the Holy Grail would be to run TDesk Player on XAUUSD and be able to generate a Balance/Equity curve for all 28 Pairs as the setting are adjusted Sounds very complicated but thought I would ask Cheers Richard |

Dear Thomas I would like the VETO signal to be the final filter for the SUPERSIGNAL. VETO would be place on a higher order filter such as (SS D1) or (PEAKY) EXAMPLE SUPERSIGNAL ENTRY would be triggered (BOLD ARROW) when SOLO or SOLO/MULTI are at 100 and in direction of VETO SUPER SIGNAL stay with trade (FINE ARROW) when SOLO or SOLO/MULTI are below 100 but VETO still in original direction SUPERSIGNAL EXIT (BOLD FLAT SIGNAL) would be when VETO changes direction Kind regards Richard |

Hi Richard. That is exactly the path I am thinking along. The problem is: Clicking on one of the buttons would start a calculation process that could take quite some time. TDesk Player would have to go through all 1-minute data points, re-calculate entries and exits, track the trades etc. Phhh - this will get time-consuming. My holy grail will be a shortcut and at the same time go beyond - The multi-pair TDesk Optimizer. Fed with a signal history, it will simulate tons of variations of the relevant TDesk inputs (those that you can change by clicking buttons in TDesk Player). It will run for hours or days and at the end tell you the outcome of each setting for the given signal history on the multi-pair basket. Once we have all the simulation data, we can display it as graph or chart or whatever for each variation. It will be a long way to get there, but doesn't that sound like the future? Cheers Thomas |

That is exactly how it works at the moment if you set Solo/Multi entry to 100 and exit to -100. Cheers Thomas |
