Been scammed by Long Asia Group , capital , Liquidity and associated companies

Lost 115k USD . They stop processing any withdrawls . Dont setup any accounts with them
They use the scam where they will process 1st withdrawal to give you confidence then dont allow any more. They then use all lame excuses for not processing and make communication channels very limited
Complete scam ..........

There are another 23 clients in the same boat .. We have logged a case with MAS governing authority and ICDX

Beware traders of Long Asia. Dont get scammed like myself

By any chance, does anyone remember how the scam is done? The link that explained it so clearly has been removed again. I would love to be able to provide stratcat62 with more info (viewtopic.php?p=170737#p170737) but cannot remember the details.

Plus, this is info that would be great to include in my Welcome message to new members. It would be as big an eye opener to them as it was to us.

It seems to best match up with the description of the scam being exposed. A quick Google search of the video's original title helped me find it.

Thank you very much for posting this. I shall add the youtube link to my Welcome message to new members and include it in my wrup on Sunday.

I suspect that we will have to chase such links as they are taken down by youtube. Goodness only knows why youtube are so eager to remove such posts when they are (apparently) happy to leave up highly destructive stuff. That is a different problem.

For you folks not up to speed with all this, the youtube video does not make it immediately obvious what the point is. The guy is showing how it is easy to:
  • rent a specific type of server for very little money.
  • said server allows the renter to 'enter' a trade at a much earlier date than would have been possible at the time. The renter can see where the market went and so enter an earlier sell trade when the market fell, or buy if it rose. To anyone viewing the trade subsequently, it looks as though the renter was inspired and made huge profits.
Those of you who purchased those $99 (or worse) 'trading courses' from a 'guru', or $99 (or worse, often much, much worse) EA's that did sooooo well until you bought them, now have some idea how you were conned.

Don't feel foolish. You are not alone. Guess how I know? ;) I thought I had learned all of the nasty tricks until the OP opened this thread nearly two years ago.

Now, who is going to buy my special version of SPB for a mere $9,999.99. I can provide a record of successful trading back until 1985. You will be rich beyond your wildest dreams.

TransparentT has shown me how to download youtube videos so I have the one he (she?) quoted safely stored on my hard drive.

I will close this thread at some point this week and start a fresh one. This will enable us to keep those videos that crop up and provide a resource for all noobs to access.

I'm just shocked by how many people trust scammers. It's just that if you are promised an income of 500% and more, then you need to ask the question why this person does not earn himself ... I don’t need to tell me that he is a kind person. Lol
