Thanks Steve, Jemook, Shelly..!!!! I'll set up a fresh demo.Jemook wrote:First of all, massive thanks to Steve for coding this up. And of course to Shelley + Bob. I had a read through the explanation of SJ EA and it sounds great, pretty much exactly what I've been doing.
I think we should ditch the session times and trade 24/5. When the ducks are lined up I'd like to be in the trade. I'm happy to keep them in but I'm not sure how to change the session times to ensure that it is always on. Any tips?
Also, after a basket is triggered then does SJ immediately trigger again at start of next session? After a basket is triggered SJ should reset and wait for price to retrace again. I'm thinking the reset could be when price moves (with trend) to the other H1 TMA. After this happens we can wait for another retrace to opposite TMA.
I agree with the risk:reward calculations, that would be awesome if we could work this one out. I'll have a think about it. I'll keep my trading discussion in here so follow along and let's see how we go!
Cheers.

Its like my wife watching her TV series, 1 chapter after another. Here in Steve's site, them EAs are being follow and tested one after another. Its a positive addiction that we are culturing, and I got to admit, I am also addicted to it!
10.2 is a revolution + Shelly (drops all the good deals in the basket) + Jem(refined entries for higher probability trades and lower DD, I hope)
Lets test SJ and see how it performs!!
ps: i agree, trend like changing coz less trades in basket and more pairs are heading for monthly pivots.

If your strategy is working well, dont be GREEDY and change it!

Just entered 3 trades2 -ok but the USDCAD is all wrong! it should have been a sell not buy. Anybody else see this? The woh is the only buy indicator. You can see the mistake is losing.

Same as me! but check your h1 & h4 chart for the USDCAD. If I had checked my charts ahead of time as Jem suggested I would have did sa sell not a buy on USDCAD.fxshadow wrote:This is what I'm seeing.traderduke wrote:Just entered 3 trades2 -ok but the USDCAD is all wrong! it should have been a sell not buy. Mackaozy also has the USDCAD as a buy????
EVERYTHING is backwards!!!
GBPJPY & GBPUSD should have been a buy not a sell

As garyfritz said,
i think also that it should be a kind of floating basket. Some trades will be closed, some others will be opened. Additionally with a kind of maxTrades variable, where to tell ShellyJem how many trades can be open at the same time so you can better handle your risk management...
