Adding GBPAUD to my watch list. It is pulling back nicely and has been in a sharp downtrend. |

Changed the template. The Blau SMI now has setting that reflect how Blau used it. -50 50 as overbought and oversold. Zero line added and range fixed between 100 and -100 . Should now be a little more insightful to overbought and oversold. Also now reflects more that it is rotating around a zero line. |

EURJPY Experimenting with the NT TMA combo indicator. Just the Diff. Terrific divergence patterns can be seen along with nice peaks on the indicator marked by the aqua checks that could be possible entries into swing trades. Along with the SMI might be a nice combination together. Still looking at it. Might work together to help us stay in the trade longer. Also the NT TMA can diverge very early more than any indicator I have ever seen. |

Thanks for the settings for the Blau indicator, it makes quite a difference to how I see it with those settings. daveM |

Your welcome Dave. It is a nice indicator. I entered EURAUD on a Swing trade. I am making some progress with GPBNZD. My setup seems to be generally working but I am sure I will be able to fine tune it as I trade it. Hoped to have eventually a combined strategy intraday trades through Swing trades and position trades. |

GBPNZD Sort of the conundrum I am trying to solve. the Daily only slightly up trend using a 1 year look back for the SDC which is also you might say even flat. This can be verified visually in the peak to trough zone created by the SDC. The last 2 months of the daily of course covered also by the 4 hour SDC is in a sharp downtrend. That can be seen in both chart pics. A slight pull back on the Pair more noticeable on the 4 hour. Entered the GBPNZD but risk off trading has slowed the process and the pullback is deepening some. It could become a correction so I will need to develop some rules for how I will handle this if I am tying to enter a Pair well into a long down or up trend. The one thing to think about I guess is where it is still safe to enter a long trend like this. I might accomplish that by where on the Daily SDC I attempt to enter a position trade. What deviation channel and how steep the down trend or uptrend on the daily. For a swing trade on the 4 hour the daily is less important other than to get a feel for when a bottom top or retrace may be going to occur. The nice thing about trading this which I am doing is I am using a Micro account which is very forgiving. I can use just large enough unit size to keep me focused with out really costing me any amount of capital loss. |

The future of the combined template. The 60 min down to the 15 minute will now display the MTF TMATrue SlopeHisto by Neotrader. Template and indicator below. This will be the central feature along with the SDC of the combined setup. This is an All template. |

Some good locations at deviation channels that would have been good to enter EURAUD for a week to month ride. Daily Chart |

Hi Slowkey, I'm a long time lurker and your Daily Swing Trade strategy has moved me to post. I love the concept here and it coincides with my own thinking very well. These higher timeframe trades give a higher positive expectancy with less stress and with some stacking of multiple trades could earn just as much as multiple shorter trades. I watch the crosses in particular EURAUD, EURNZD, GBPAUD, GBPNZD and I find their long term price action is smoother with less noise than the majors, as well as being often double the pip range. I've attached a screenshot of my modified template looking at the D1 GBPNZD. According to my settings it looks like a long signal for this is still a few days away before I get a white bar above the midline. Entry 1. NT TMA MTF D1 white bar crossing the midline (red lines) 2. SMI should be in same direction 3. Avoid going long at the top / short at the bottom of the deviation channel Additional triggers or conservative filters 1. Wait for cross of support/resistance (blue lines) 2. Wait for NT TMA MTF W1 to cross the midline Exit 1. NT TMA SlopeHisto MTF white bar crossing back across midline (yellow) 2. Alternatively use a trailing stop of 200 pips when white bar is getting close to midline I look forward to learning from you and working together to ride these monster waves! Cheers |

Soulfire it is really nice to here from you. Very nice template. I agree with you on the AUD and NZD pairs. It is great to buy them and in this sense I am not referring to short or long but to there Carry. Very nice positive interest with them. To sell them you have to take into consideration the loss of interest vs other pairs but all these pairs you have mentioned have been strengthening lately. Top chart is the Daily and the second down the weekly... I am actually short GPBNZD having got into the pair on the pull back. I am also short GBPAUD having got into it on the last little pullback. If you look at the weekly chart which is the second down from the top the pair has been in a strong downtrend for ever. By this I mean the SDC channel slope from peak to trough. The slope of the deviation channels. So there is a lot of momentum to the down side even though the Daily looks like it is in an uptrend slightly. So I think price will at least make it to the 1.62 lower deviation channel on the daily chart which I have highlighted in red. The last time the pair pulled back to the 1.27 on the weekly chart it went all the way down to the lower 1.27 of the weekly chart. I am not sure that is going to happen this time but on the weekly chart it has not even made it to the central deviation channel yet. So there will be a long but I think I may be able to stay short at least until I get to the highlighted in red 1.62 channel on the daily. It may well be even lower. Now I am still developing my thinking on this and humbly admit that price could do anything. It is going to take a lot of trading of this setup to work out in mind mine specific rules. You have help me here because you got me thinking about the SMI top down. Everything about my approach is top down from one chart to the next. The same on my Intraday setup. When looking at the SMI it is good to compare it to the SMI on the Four Hour and on the weekly. On the Four hour chart the SMI is turning down and has a ways to go yet. On the weekly it is doing the same thing. So if we were trading either one of them I would feel comfortable with a short. Also looking at the deviation channels on each one I can see that I have a ways to go till I get to a deviation channel below the central deviation channel. You can see easily how the daily fits into the weekly time period by looking at the aqua check marks I placed at the bottom of the move on the weekly and on the Daily. I look to the lower time periods and higher time period for some confirmation that a real change in direction is about to occur. So this is a rule probably that would be good to add to the setup as I develop it. How does the Daily fit when compared to both the next time period higher and time period lower. The same for 4 Hour swing trades. Something else that popped into my mind as I looked at this from the point of view of you sharing here. I am now wondering if the Weekly should be the chart central to position trades with the Daily and Four hour for confirmation and entry. Really have not traded this enough to know yet but this may be a way to go. I like the way you are formulating some rules and I hope to do this too as I develop the setup. I really appreciate you sharing. These kind of trades I think can be very stress free and offer a real nice value and are enjoyable to study. The more we share the more we learn how to make this easier. Cheers |
