Hello Fellow Trader, I read somewhere that NB is currently revising the 0.4 and 0.8 levels to (maybe) bring them down to 0.3 and 0.6. I’ll keep investigating, but In the meantime, here are some CT scenarios that occurred today. BTW, I suspect that CT trades should be taken when H1 Slope < 0.3 (> -0.3 for Buy CT in a bearish trend). I am also thinking that Trading CT on a strong trending pair may not be the best idea… but today it was! The idea is to use H1 TF when a CT scenario occurs. I suggest taking profit when PA crosses back the 5.1. The pictures below are pretty self-explicit. Any thoughts ? Cheers! Bunker |

Hi there, my 1st post here. I see CADCHF changing to 0.3 just a couple of candles before where you marked exit. Is it me understanding things wrongly ? |

Hi hornet, Thanks and CONGRAT ! for your 1st post. It is absolutely possible that you caught it before (or even later). The slope was still in switching mode from 0.3 to 0.4 at that point. I realised it is a good idea to frequently change TF to refresh the display. Cheers! Bunker |

Hello Fellow Traders, I am so fascinated with all the stories the TMA Slope Value tells us that I am thinking of changing the title of this thread for : “The hidden treasures behind the TMA Slope Values”. The following theory is the elastic band pattern: Imagine 2 people caught together inside one elastic band; one person weighing 300 pounds and the other one weighing 75 pounds. They try to distance themselves from one another. They walk and walk and they reach a point where the elastic doesn’t stretch anymore. What happen ? OK, I never tested it, but I’m pretty sure that the 75 pounds one will fly back to point 0. Now if we apply that theory to this awesome, extraordinary, incredible, awesome (did I say that already) indi with the analogy that D1 is the 300 pounds guy and H1 is the 75 pounds one, chances are that when the elastic band is stretched, H1 will fly back to D1. But what is the definition of “stretched”. This is something we have to define (bring your brain power here pls!!), but here is a first attempt. If you look at the pictures below, the values (when stretched) between H1 and D1 are between 1.3 and 1.6. For instance: CADCHF D1 = 1.1 and H1 = -0.5. The difference is 1.6. This is a pretty stretched elastic band in my opinion… so what happened ? See CADCHF second picture: H1 went right back up for a profitable long trade. As you see, EJ, EU and many others did the same today. The elastic band effect appeared in my basket trade as well yesterday (when I traded too soon). It went from 0 pips to minus 350 pips and then back to plus 250 pips. And of course, you always use D1 for the trend direction. I am still puzzled with the H4 story. I’m sure it’s trying to tell me something…but I can’t hear it...yet. Cheers! Bunker |

Bunker, what you are describing here is a retrace followed by a trend resumption. I feel a new ea coming on - Stretched Slope. Suppose the D1 is at buy, or buy and hold. The H1 falls and eventually the distance between the two tf's becomes greater than (a user choice of) 1.6. EA takes a buy trade. I am not going to code this tonight, because it is late and I am tired, and because doing so would keep me up until the wee small hours, and I need to be compis mentis in the morning. The reasons I need to be compis mentis in the morning (singing exam accomps) mean I will not do so tomorrow either. Soon though. Put your thinking caps on guys. By 'eck, I love Slope. |

Pair EU.Look at pic.TF 4H.You can see correction impuls up -yellow histo. Two lines-2 MA applied to H1 histo. After their cross you may take short because your main direcion-Down.See vert.line. Second pic. shows the same line TF H1.If you have been in trade-nice 40 pip. reward. Very powerful indi. Regards |

Fabulous and extremely generous of you Steve ! In the meantime, I’ll try to find the elastic band magic number. If it is 1.6, I’ll setup that future EA to 1.3 to get them all!! If it continues like this, I suspect that all my charts will only have a black background with no line graph, no bars or no candles….just one indicator showing 3 arrows and values that will tell me the story for a specific pair: Trending ? Retracing ? Reverting ?, Elasticiting ?.....Hey, you should call this one Elastexciting!! Thanks again ! Cheers! Bunker…the Slope fan |

Thanks for your post Harry45 Right on! I like your strategy. Question: On H1, were the 2 MAs actually crossing at the time the bar was being established (on your vertical line) ? or did they cross only a few bars (hours) later ? Bunker |

Hi,Bunker I havent changed dispositon of line, actually you see cross on H1 earlier. If in correction we see H4 histo in opposite direction of main trend (D1) -it indicates correction is strong.I have to think it over in more detail. But devoloping your idea looks very promising. Regards |
