Version 1b is in post 1. The Breakeven calculations were out by a magnitude of 10, so I fixed this. Coders, void BreakEvenStopLoss() had two instances of ...Point*BreakEvenPips... These need to be replaced with ...BreakEvenPips / factor... This error is in the Shell bare-bones code as well - I replaced WB's original management code with that from the shell; I missed these two in the conversion to Lifesys' PipFactor thingy.  |

Steve I ran it through a year of data with just conservative setting of 40/10 Break even and take profit at the green line. Looks very good now. Very profitable. Same kind of results as I was seeing when it was in slopey beast but now much more configurable. Thanks a bunch. Will test and optimize over the weekend. Shouid be a winner. Break even working just fine now. Slope looks good now. doug |

Hi slowkey, I get results in strategy tester but there are no trades in the demo account. Price is moving through the white (EURUSD & CHFJPY) but no trades What settings are you using - are you getting trades outside of strategy tester? Pat |

Pat it is not going to always trade if price passes through the WB area. Only if slope is favorable will it trade. I have not started to test it on a demo yet. Over the weekend I am going to be optimizing for the best settings. Sunday I will put it on a demo. There are a lot of configurations to play with yet. It will not trade each pair real frequently but they should be high percentage trades with few if any losses. When you put it on 25 pairs though, they will multiply. I do not know if you did it or not but put the slope indicator on the pairs you mentioned and see what slope numbers are reading out at. doug |

Something still isn't quite right. I am getting a lot of stop loss modification failure messages, and I cannot see any reason to modify the stop. I will look at this. |

slowkey - a bit off subject but could you please do a brief step-by-step description how you do such a backtest - for dummies (myself included). I am reasonably certain that I am not the only one who is clueless on backtesting, so maybe you do a thread post in the newbie section if and when your time permits.... Steve, I set this EA a couple of days ago which has taken 3 trades so far, no pending orders, nothing closed yet. But, I have been running WB only on Slopey Beast with Slowkeys settings on 4H which is going really well. One thing I have noticed is that if a pending order is placed and price then moves in the opposite direction and the trade is not taken, the pending order just waits until price comes back which may or may not occur for an indefinite period of time. Unlike TB where the opposite pending order is placed as well, trades taken, goes to profit (pending order deleted), start again. Depending on how long it takes price action to return to the pending trade the set up may not still be valid, I have taken to manually deleting all pending orders once a day, if the setup is still valid, the EA just places it again, if setup is not valid, pending order is not replaced. Is it possible to have the EA automate this process? |
