I don't like EA's but was willing to see what this one does on backtest and than I realized it's trading 0.0 lots on the backtest so nothing was happening. I'll try adjusting risk %. If nothing happens again,this one will join other EA's... recycling bin

how does 'Gone in 60 seconds EA' sound?
or something like that,... catchy movie name!!

and looking at the lot sizes;
'Balls to the wall EA'

and my favorite;
'Paulus likes it once a day EA' or' Paulus on the edge'

all set to go, Here's the link, should update as soon as it starts trading. Can change the name iso nothings written in stone.
I like the idea of this EA, not massively complicated so we'll give it a shot.

thanks again for this, I see the code got a little 'heavy'.
attached pic shows my settings. hardcoded as per Steve directions.

- importantly, i'd like to use slope but scared i'll lose out on the only opportunity for the day, so starting with-out slope.

- BE set to true, hate to lose a winner, and closing half trade because of the expected size involved. JS at 10 also.

- no MPTM for now also.
- might also tinker with the stoch settings in a few days. dont expect many posts as we should have only position a day. lets see if/when MPTM kicks into the chart.

When the template for this EA is loaded, the 1 HR chart appears. (But that seems to be the case always when loading templates).

Do I have to set the timeframe to M1 ?

Paulus original system dont use BE. You gain 15% or lose 5%.

I don't know how to do the backtest.. Isn't working... I'll try demo...

thanks for the heads-up, i'll keep an eye on it. I Dont know Paulus' work so i would change BE to false under normal circumstances as you come across like you've traded this system before, and have some experience with it.
Because this is a new EA and i have already posted my settings, i would prefer to report back with the results with settings i committed to already.
Others may have taken note of my settings and subsequently are setting up something different. Its pointless all of us trying to test exactly the same settings, but i hear you, and thank you for the observation.
i enjoy the challenge and would probably throw MPTM into the mix if i see i'm getting losers all the time. You'd be amazed how many trades mptm can take off one original trade, especially if you allow 'hedge the hedged' and keep short increments between hedges. dont know if thats a bad thing for this ea yet, but going to find out!!
check back in a few days , maybe a week or so and i'll post the results and my opinions. The widget posted earlier should update with the progress anyways.

I have renamed out bot 'Balls to the Wall' - couldn't resist. V1 is in post 1.

When I loaded him onto a new demo, I noticed a bit of cosmetic stuff to improve. That is the only change from '1 minute....'.
