Thanks for the enquiry.

Entry is the first candle to open >< (Green) 3MA after the MA cross; where the TMA Slope True bar is ><0.4 (Green = long/Red = short)

The reason I stick to the H4 & D1 is because they take out most of the chop... And, after a bit of experimentation, I found that, with (+/- 0.4) TMA Slope True "Input" values and (+/- 0.4/0.8) levels, that it pretty much took care of the rest.

My biggest challenge is time! Most days I work a 12-14 hour day. Family time is important. Sleep is VERY important; so trading time is squeeeeezed into what is left... the reason I stick to the H4 & D1. :D

Because they now have all the time in the world on their hands; Monday week ago my girls started trading full-time. They very quickly found how hard it is to trade the smaller time frames over multiple pairs... so they changed to the H1 - with greater success. 8-) 8-)

After scanning the attached tech notes and watching the videos; In the small amount of time I have had left to play with it today… I recognized the 'Elemental Trader' that I looked at when I was building 'Ducks.' I also reckon I can see a possible adaptation that would really tighten a variation of 'Ducks' I am playing with! :geek:

We are coming into the Christmas/New Year 'doldrums' time of the Forex year (mid December - mid January) when the markets go dead because the major traders are on holidays. I/we would like to 'flog the system to death' over the next month before then, to check my thoughts.

The key is the missing entry & stops protocol to describe the function of the coloured lines in the red square! :?:

Do you have those or have you had to build your own?

wow. i have a secret dream that one day i could teach what i've learnt in forex to anyone(well not anyone but kind of like the turtles scenario).

anyway i have been toying around with the ducks and in the choppy market we have been having and will get choppier for the reason you've mentioned, it seems the larger time frame has been more fruitful.

i fear however, chop is the enemy of this system and a daily personal loss limit is the only way forwards.

however on daily and 4H time frames i am not sure how to tackle.

i am afraid i am not skilled enough to offer any solutions.

This is extremely close to a system I trade personally - except I dont use the RSI as confirmation - I am only up to page 5 of the thread - but wanted to say thanks for the input here

Nufty, thanks for the kind words. While the longer time frames are making up their minds as to what they are doing I am having a lot of fun trading the H1 and M30.

Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge with us AussieDoc. I am from South Africa, so now you have another cricket team to make fun of. ;)

I have been also working the last couple of years in developing my own system and it is actually unbelievable how similar the systems is. Mine only uses a 5/8 cross and then ATR for trailing the stop.

But what I love is that you have now also given me more idea's in the management of the trade and this is really where the secrets to the systems is.
