'tis a couple of thoughts for sure and not hard to code. I would love to read posts along the lines of, "My TP is x pips and it is hit consistently." or "I tried x pips and the basket never quite made it" to gain a 'ball-park' figure for the ts etc

Let's see what other ideas emerge as well. I am happy just to let the EA jog along for a few days.

Yes, right-click on the smiley face, select Expert Advisors\Properties.
does it work for you? Nothing happen when I did that. I could not find a way to change the setting while it is trading. anyone can help ?

Press F4 while in Empty4. That opens MetaEditor. Open the EA in there, change the settings you want and press compile. That way the settings are changed on all the graphs you have that EA running on!

But this will change all charts running this EA with different settings into the same setting which is not what I want. I just want to change the setting of a specific chart.

I guess there is no way I can do that. :roll:

Drag and drop the EA back onto the chart in question.

Try also saving it as a template. remove the ea, turn experts off, reload template , then you can go into properties

By doing so, would it lose control of the open trades ? I hope not as long as the magic number remains the same ??

Hi Steve,

I tried this, but closing one position makes the EA close them all. If 1 position is in BIG profit, the basket can be way below zero.

Since the EU and the UC are in a channel all week, this is a bad moment to test the strategie. Even in this channel, it still makes profit.

The stacking only occurs within the channel, once the orders are on the edge of the channel no more will be added until a breakout occurs. One way or the other, it doesn't matter. The winning side will add one more position and all will be closed.

In the mean time, all these positions add up to the cashback deposit..... :D

I came on to post my thoughts tonight and picked up on tarrini's post.

That basket of trades I described last night did indeed grow into a few more stack trades. By the time it hit is +6 pips profit, this did indeed look silly. By the time all the trades in the basket actually closed, the +6 had turned into about -5. No great thingy in itself - but a lot of trades to eventually reach +6 that turned into -5. Not a ridiculous or account threatening number (<10) but still significant.
