I found that if you don't hit a 0 or 100 sto, such as hit 98, again through 90, ea will not order, that is to say, ea judgment sto must hit 100 through 90, open trade, someone can modify, to make our own definition, sto hit 98 or 99 through 90 to open trade again, thank you! Live trades for the week. Almost 5% All entries were made by TCO with no consideration of Daily CSS, daily pivots, distance from MA (60/240 H4) or bounce off MA. NOTE: I am not saying this is a recommendation for entries. Exits, either went to full TP or SL at 1:2 risk/reward, some I set the TP near round numbers or tested S/R levels, others I moved to BE manually. Tuesday I closed a group of news trades as a basket. EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD trades were not taken due to a problem with TCO and my broker. Contacting my broker ( FX Primus ECN ) about that this weekend. I also ran TCO on non Forex instruments on Demo too. |

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. Can anyone confirm whether the Stoch Confirmation setting of 1 requires that the stock hits 0 or 100 before being buy or sell ready? The 7,2,2 settings tend to hit the extremes regularly but I'm trying some slower settings to filter out some of the "false" signals and I'm finding that it's not triggering. Although the stoch is dropping below 20 / above 80 before turning it looks like the confirmation setting is not counting that as valid. Does anyone know (or can read the code) to confirm what exactly "stoch confirmation" is. Thanks |

For those Stochastic questions, have you read the original thread by the writer of the EA? http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 649#p64649 I'm sure the answer may already be there, if not, you can post there & expect a definitive answer from TCO himself  |

hi Yamez, i tried to trade footsie. dax, and dow, but no trades at all last week, are you using the 4 hour ,i did try the 1 hour but still no trades, i notice you trade sp500, just loaded that to see what happens, the currencies very impressive last week, |

Looks to me that he wants to use that as a filter on the 1 Hour chart - someone please correct me if that is wrong. So now sure how that would apply with the TCO EA as it needs the larger time frame for trend settings, and the smaller time frame for trade entry. The settings I used in the early posts have the trend filter of 20 / 63 EMA's on the Daily chart; currently these are barely breaking even on my demo with hardly any full TP's being hit, so may be a function of the target too far away + price action now. To keep more in line with NB method, I have been thinking of setting the demo to filter on the 4 Hour chart using NB 60 / 240 EMA's - has anyone else tried this settings? What I gave was only an example of how the TCO Trader EA can be used - how you apply it to the market is an individual thing; mainly I suggest to run it on demo, see where it is taking trades, then assess the market price action yourself, time of day, news, trend, Bob's 15 EMA, anything you usually watch = before placing any real trades. I put this on a live account today, just trading micro lots, not a brilliant day my demo which has been doing well struggled, im just using your settings john, changed the lot size, have no idea about coding, so cant be of assistance, but others are getting good results, so worth trying to fine tune, cheers |

The thing is john if you're going to baby sit, might as well trade manually, which is not a problem, got to grips with the system and its working fine, very tempted to go live this week, time is always the problem |

Exactly, and I think NB must sit on his trades even though he says it is a 4 H method; check the posts last week where people say they are struggled yet he claims to be making pips because he closed out at 20 or 30 pips profit. Not to mention he made pips against the system signals because the fundamentals told him so. So an EA cannot do that, it is in the timing as you says; see this chart, by the definition of price above both MA, there is an UP trend in place, therefore take BUY signals on 1 H chart Stochastic right? As you can imagine, from point 1 there will be winning trades, at point 2 the trades will be struggling or losses = no faith in method, look for something new. Age old dilemma as we all know  |
