All in all - yes, we all dream about something like the best bot with the best strategy using reliable pairs and so on ...
BUT: I dont think you may say after a short time what pairs are the "best" ... even more: I think no such pairs exist, bcz some pairs "work" better in one market conditions and in others they fail ... but perhaps I'm wrong ... so lets look further what'll happen the next weeks ...

yea - it's a pity, I hate to complain, but I got the same unsatisfying results ... :? :oops:

One more important point: I often can see many trades starting with good gains after break outs ... but these good trades dont end into the profit - made firstly - or they even hit the SL ! :arrrg:

Thanks Gunter and AGT for your posts. I agree with AGT that with the results from one or two months, it will be nearly impossible, to say what pairs are the best for the strategy.. but the results are interesting to evaluate what can be done to have better results.
AGT, you wrote that you saw often trades in win finish in loss, do you think that the EA should start earlier to set BE and move the SL?

Hi Tommaso,

Here is two graphics below to analyse the position of the SL on the last trade on XAUUSD. The SELL open at 1277 and the SL at 1291, just below a proven Resistance = 7.

I think the SL should have been place over that proven resistance at 1310. I put a red line at 1307 because the rectangle should has been smaller, but anyway, chances are it is harder to get through a proven resistance. The second graph shows that the price hit indeed the SL below the resistance, got into the box but stop before the end of the box.

Yes, I think the MM is the point .... ha ha what a "rediscovery" I did ! :lol:

Ok, really - may be changes in BE + trailing SL could help ... a bit, at least !? ;)
Although I don't have access to my comp often, by chance I saw/see the price jumping into the right direction - but little later price is rebounding: firstly made profits are gone - the trader is left disappointed. We all know these emotions. :youknow:
I think the problem of most BO or trending strategies are these fu...ng false "BO's" ... that's a well known fact, I think. Babysitting the bot is perhaps sometime the best we could do, intervene manually and catch the profit at the "right" moment - be rich at the end :clap:

Hi all,

I tested last week some code changes, and as it worked much better than the latest publicated version I decided to update.
New we use for openening only the SR zones as filter, the MA trendirection filter has not brought a real benefit, sometimes it was the contrary and the EA missed some good trade. New the SR zone must be more than 250 pips away from the price and at least 2 times tested(was 4).
New the EA closes the trade after 2 candles if the trade is not in win, this seems to avoid a lot of wrong BO's taken. After 5 candles the TMA-True slope is checked, is the actual value lower as the value one candle ago the EA closes the trade (independ if the trade is in win or loss).
The first two candles the EA uses new other moving SL and BE rules as later(the SL is much faster moved) as in nature of a BO is often that the prices moves first hours after BO fast in the right direction, but than returns..
Thanks to AGT,Gunter and all others, who are doing a great job with testing the EA!
The FridayClose is new OOTB off, and important, about my experiences with the EA I changed the EndOfZoneDetermingHourGMTto 6, to this is not any longer an external variable.
I strongly reccomend all to update the EA as there are to some little fixes.

thank you tommaso for your work and gunter for posting your results every week! I would like to post mine too, but I can't find the settings to work with my balance and it opens 3 or 4 trades per week.

Hi Adrian, have you tried 0.01 lot and the other settings OOTB, and you should if possible only let run this EA exclusivly on the account you use for the testing..

and one thing is important please attach the EA with the new automatic GMT offset only if the market is open, you should get an alert showing you the GMT offset the EA has set (and the GMT actual hour), if you do not get this alert you must reinitialize the EA..
