I've just been setting this up with Squalou's sixth indicator kindly provided by jozec. I've noticed that it does still have a zoom factor in it and will show different levels depending on what level of zoom you've got your chart set to.

The high and low calculations are set to a fixed number of bars (BarCount) but the start point still varies by "shift":

if you've always got the chart on the same zoom you won't notice but I just thought I'd point it out. It's also worth noting that the length of the lines drawn gives the false impression that you can look back at the painted levels and see past trades - this is not the case. The lines are drawn back far enough that they would have been at different levels back at that time and therefore can't be used.

In true forum ethos, I'm not just coming with problems, here are a few indicators that help to explain what I'm describing:

SIXTHS SQ_mod1 :
- I've set the "shift" to a fixed level of 1 so it's always looking back just BarCount bars and won't change with zoom.
- I've reduced the length of the lines to remove the temptation to look back at past price action - obviously the calcs are still using BarCount.
- I've also added optional trading zones to quickly show the areas to look for reversals

SIXTHS SQ_mod1.mq4

Sixths_As_Bands :
- This is to help with visual back testing as it shows where the lines would have been at each point in time

Charles I do tend to be early rather than late as trying to tune myself more to price action for manual trades and enter without many indicators .. just CSS and Sixths seems a good combo for here right now. Looking back on M5 would have supported your analysis for a short term sell yesterday .. I'd say only for the brave though. Price got quite close to my SL but I'm still in Long.

I took the short won 8pips only needed another 42 for my daily target

hi guys, just doing some analysis and trades on NZD pairs, gaps occurs during NZD big news this morning. in my opinion price usually filled this gap soon or later, need some patience on this..

Thanks Charles Of course, all I've done is highlight the reversal zones (above and below the gold 6th) - set ShowTradeZoneBoxes to true to see. regards.
