Hi Nannigbob,
The only exception to what you illustrated earlier on was I mistakenly Put the 5.5 buy EA on the 4H screen as Opposed to the 5.1 buy EA on the 4H screen, so what would the Difference have been if I had followed the rules and loaded the 5.1 buy EA on the 4H screen ? I need to know so that I don't make the same mistake next time.
This time I got away with probably making good of my mistake but next time it might not turn out a good outcome.

Regards,

xrismak. 8-)

Who could Explain what TMA slope imply here, in term of Trade ? contradictory signals ?

It's really contradictory. When you see the TMA Slope value today, you see that for EURNZD you have -0.93 with a dot and a small UP arrow. As reading the rules we are below -0.8 and it suggests that EURNZD is for SHORT. Isn't it ?
If you look the chart, EURNZD is BULLISH and gained 96 pips UP, with these values NZD = 0.10 EUR = 0.36 and Ratio = 0.37 (TMA CSS SP indicator)

If you look at the other hand, you see that TMA Slope gives for NZDCHF 0.91 with a dot and small down arrow, suggesting that we could go LONG. If you look at the chart NZDCHF is Bearish today dropping around 60 pips since 10 AM GMT. with these values NZD = 0.10 CHF = -0.30 and Ratio = 0.32 (TMA CSS SP indicator).

I don't know how to interpret all these contradictory values, knowing the fact that I don't change any parameter in these indicators which run with their default values

Though I am too learning the method but will give it a shot to explain.

Slope values are from D1 so it shows long term view (meaning coming few weeks). If it says go long on the pair then you check price in terms of MA lines on D1. If above MA 5.1 (blue colour) then it is ok to be long on this pair.

You now look at H4 chart and see MP> WP > DP. Also, then see price position in terms of these pivots. If there is retracement wait and enter when price crosses back MA 5.1 or any of these pivots. The slope values on any timeframe shows how strong the move will or when to close the trade. If the weak currency is now crossing the strong one then time to close for today and wait for next long setup either today or tomorrow or may be day after.

What my experience has been is if you have had 2-3 setups on a pair in a week then do not try find more on this pair an dlook somehwere else.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Forexripper for your clear explanations. Have you any idea what is the meaning of these small arrows and the dot points on the right of TMA slope values ?

shows the trend of the slope but ignore for decision making. Just follow the steps I mentioned.

Well, I think I got stuck.
my bars and pivots and ... do not look like yours or his. I am about to come to realize that this depends on my criminal's server time and at what time he opens a new (daily) bar. in my case my local and server time coincide and they are UTC + 01:00.
so far ok. Does this matter, does it affect trading results? Is there an agreement in this forex community, when a trading day starts? when you start to calculate pivots etc?
Let me be more specific, when slowkey says http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 011#p17011 :"you will need to set them to your Crims server time. Local time I have set as the NY close." He puts his HrsServerTzFromGMT -4 and HrsChoiceTzFromGMT +3. I am not sure but this says his day local time starts 3 hrs earlier than NY time, and his server starts the day 4 hours later than NY time?
Do these settings affect the way bars open: from what I see no!
Do these settings affect the way pivots etc are calculated?
From what I see, yes. Hmm. I do not find these parameters in other indis or eas. Does this mean, we all base our trading on incomparable systems?

Not necessarily.

I have said this before and been shouted down but continue to recognise the validity of what I am about to propose. It seems a shame that the dimwits do not also recognise this, but there is nothing I can do for them.

Bob trades Cowboy IBFX. Therefore, the rest of us should also trade Cowboy IBFX. All it takes for the rest of us to trade Cowboy IBFX is to download an Cowboy IBFX demo and take our live trades from that demo.

Instead of trying to force Bob's trading system into your own individual thingy, adapt your own individual thingy to Bob's trading system.

'tis what I did.

Only an idiot tries to do anything else.

Sounds like something we call a retrace! Don't try get in at the bottom or top. Wait for a retrace and trigger of some kind before you take the trade and you should have more luck.

I have two different brokers Empty4 open right now, but the slope indicator is completely different on both. The one has plenty around the .8 on slope and then when I compare it to my other broker (Cowboy IBFX) the slope indi says .57 for AUDUSD for example and .8 on the other. Is this a sunday candle thing? My apologies if this has been covered.

Look at a DAILY chart for EUR-NZD and tell me what is the trend since 5-18-12 or 18-5-12 (depends where you are from)?

96 pips is not even the daily range for this pair; show me a chart where price goes straight down; it doesn't and nothing to do with what indicator is on the chart.

And where is price now from Monday's open? Down 47 pips, draw a trend line on a 4H chart and trade the break of that...
