thats one pathetic broker. they shouldn't be doing that. the leverage is agreed upon earlier and only changes when account size grown to certain level mentioned in agreement. you should take a look at the agreement and see what can be done from there. Just imagine the trades went into DD 1st ? that would be totally messed up. |

Dear Captain! I've known you for 3 years. I've tried several times to learn, adopt your way to look at PA - unsuccesfully  Now, I'm glad that I found you again, because I try it again, I try to learn from my mistakes and catch your way of interpreting PA. I love your way of trading. And I also read your thought at FF not about PA, but LA, LA (I made it now  ) about Life Action. And I understood, why you are able to look at the charts other way than the herd. You wrote about the illusions... I would like to ask you to share your thoughts about Life (If you like), because I think that's it what on the charts happens. I'm very grateful for your efforts and for your presence with us. I have never really traded larger funds there Subashr, and many times used the accounts for testing thoughts and methods... many times with poor results but considered a cost of doing business. Since I have not been trading and had no funded accounts, I decided to deposit a larger amount here... nothing huge, but much, much bigger than I had used there in the past. When trading, I really need to be in the seat all the time as I don't use hard stops. I can't always do that and like the past few days, I have to leave to take care of matters at hand. In so doing, I miss profit targets on small moves and retraces will put those high leverage orders in DD. The delay of my deposits also forced me to close trades, during the major news yesterday. I was setting on 250% margin in the account before the news and I knew they had limited the account when it went over 10k, by 300 briefly. The equity did not exceed 10k, as their were many, many open trades... like always. I had room to hedge with the left over margin if news sent price the wrong way. It was then that the margin dropped below 100% on the account as the leverage was reduced on all open trades. At that time, account balance was around 8500, as I closed some orders I did not wish to hold through the news. This is when margin was reduced on all open trades. Not a good feeling. I push margin all the time, and I don't have a problem with that. Seeing the margin cut on all open orders is another thing. As for the deposits that were delayed over 9hrs, my withdrawal arrived within minutes... not in 9 hrs as was the delay on some of those deposits. I will be in contact with a manager when I cool off enough to talk with them. Results will be reported as well. My account is in profit there, some withdrawn but the entire account was put at risk before the news. I was told the account went over the 10K limit on ECN accounts and leverage was reduced when that happened. I have asked for the time the leverage was reduced to see if it matches the time the account was over the 10k, and my equity in the account was not over 10k, when this happened. Equity closed above 10K when all orders were closed after the news release. -CJ- PLEASE READ MY FOLLOW UP POST ON THIS LATER IN THE THREAD |

Good to know about this. I have an account there and have been considering refunding. Guess I will look elsewhere now. Knocked a home run on NFP with E/U. saw the pin on 15 min and jumped in for the southbound run. Thanks CJ!!!!!!!! Slowly starting to get this. P.S. Will start posting charts soon. Gotta get my VM set up on my linux machine. Using an old laptop to run Empty4 at the moment. |

Congratulations for the profitable trade! Well done! I have been contacted by one of their managers there and will advise you of the results. If you are happy with the service then continue to use it. You may never find yourself in the same conditions that I do as your trading differs greatly from mine. I always post about my experiences and will continue to do so in the future. If I am mistaken and fault lies within me, then I will report that as well. I take responsibility for my actions and my actions were based on my presumptions of their terms on account limits. As I said, my equity never breached the 10K limit for the lower margin level. Even if I am wrong, I feel they should not reduce margin on open trades, they should allowed to be closed as they were placed when margin was at the higher limit. -CJ- |
