The chart feedback code is ludicrously wrong. Before I post an update I will make sure the max/min distances thingy is correctly implemented.

V 1e is in post 1, with the chart min/max from MA distance display corrected. I have checked that the code for these filters is correct and it is, so far as I can tell.

Check that the default inputs reflect what you are trying to do - they are set for me.

On closing trades I had an oddity on demo this morning, when the bot closed a GJ sell at c. 100 pips loss. I cannot see why - no stop loss and no change of trend. I have no way of telling if I had accidentally left one of Mike's stop loss inputs with a >0 value, so keep an eye on any individual trade closures.

Don't understand. Why should any trades be closed?

Can you remove the grid when you post chart pics, please, as they are distracting when trying to look at information on the screen.

Remember that strange closed GJ sell trade from a few posts ago? Still no idea what happened.

Having it closed helped the rest of the basket to close by mptm at 2% and leave the entire exercise 31 pips in profit.

Since then GJ has screamed past the moving average and is now identified as being in an uptrend. The latest basket is up nearly 100 pips with GJ as the main driving force - two buy trades with the first at c. +70

Interesting enough but the next bit is really interesting.

I put FB onto my live GP account yesterday, trading the same pairs in the same way as here. Before you read on, make sure you understand this:

this is my ea trading my trading strategy on my tiny live account. I really, truly am playing with cash I can afford to lose.
I know what damage this ea is capable of inflicting. I coded it. I understand it. You do not.

So, do not instantly launch this on an account funded by your 300,000 pension fund account unless you have a financial death wish.

The basket built up bit by bit yesterday finished thus:

The basket went to about -130 at one stage, with GU sells making up a lot of the dd as the market rose and rose and rose. I was lucky and happened to be watching in fascination as these events unfolded.

The basket closed just a few minutes later when GU plummeted. You can see that it and UJ were the drivers behind the success.

A second basket of trades opened and closed today. It is impossible to show the individual trades without a ridiculous amount of work, so here is the iHistory total for the day:

You can see the main drivers behind today's profit and how the secondary pairs helped. GJ should be ashamed of itself and had better get a grip on itself or We Will Have Words.

Early days, but I am liking this so far.

Great stuff Steve...as usual.

I also have experience some strange and "unmotivated" close of trades today, lately these two below, cant find out why, other than they are close to the blue dotted lines, but as far as I understood open trades should not be forced closed at these lines or?!

Settings OOTB, anybody has a clue? Thx..

PS: Seems like these strange close of trades only happens to trades in minus...(loss trades)

I ask contributors please not to post charts with lurid backgrounds or foregrounds or grids or anything else that obscures the chart display from people for whom such displays are merely an irritant. We do not read them because they annoy us too much.

At least, they annoy me too much and I am the one who really counts here.

I have also been running Fractalated Bob (version 1d)

I have attached the lastest GJ chart on a H4 TF.

It shows that the 2 Sell trades were closed when the price retracted and hit the 240MA. Then 2 Buys were executed.

My EA appears to be functioning correctly as outline in your Post 1 with a close of a losing basket when price hits the 240MA

Trades are sent without a take profit or stop loss. Losing sequences will ultimately close if the H4 240 MA trend definition changes.
