Long story short, Can we let the HGI Display the current situation?
And let it repaint (which developers try not to let it do)


Here is a use case example:

We were testing this ea. on 1 vps, same broker different platform.
1 platform reloaded every 10 minutes. (INDI and EA)
The reloaded platform showed a RandgeEND wavy on a historic candle.
Causing the EA to open new RAD trades and TREND trades.
So performing like it is designed to. :good:


The other platform (2)..
Showed as the latest wavy a gold one on a historic candle.
The EA was not taking RAD and TREND Trades.
So performing like it is designed to. :good:

So in this example in both cases the ea is on the same chart, working perfectly and giving different results.

What happend is that the Range END wavy was forming on a historic candle.
No problem with that, that's good. :P
But the EA is only looking for signals at the current candle.
So he misses completly what is going on at historic candles.. Unless you reinit the EA.
On init the ea is looking back trough history, finds the latest wavy..
in this case the range end formed on a historic candle. and responds to it.

I think I have shared this message here before.
Hopefully my explanation is clear to you all.
Know you now, why it is not opening a trade on every RAD, Wavy or Trend signal.

In the function HaveWeHitProfitTarget(), I have modified my code to read as follows..

if (OrderSymbol()!=Symbol() ) continue;  //this filters so that only THIS symbol trades are checked.      
if (OrderCloseTime() < iTime(Symbol(),PERIOD_D1,0) ) continue;  //order was closed before today.
If Order symbol is evaluated, it determines this pair profitability. If there is no symbol check, the EA includes profitability for every other symbol and trade in trades history.
The second line specifically compares orderclosetime to the open time of today's bar...seemed less cpu effort.

Hello guys. One quick question.

I want to choose the best of the two EAs (either the mod or the basic) and want you to help me out.

Basically i want to open trades manually when i see the opportunity and then i want the EA to close them when there is a wavy either yellow or opposite site blue. I don't want the ea to open trades automatically. Only close them.

Which is the best option according to your tests?

Sorry, just looking things over in MOD 1 ... is there a reason for this variable to be called HT, when it is reading the Trading TF around LINE 3676

You would need to Open your trades using Steve's HGB Trend Long and Trend Short Scripts to ensure the Comment is set, then I would use BOINVEST MOD 1 to Close on Yellow Wave.

OK got it. I guess its kinda more complicated than expected. But nothing that can't be handled.

New versions attached to post 1!!! :!!: :!!:

Version 2x is the way to go!!
Version 2x is replacing the previous versions and mod1.
Mod1 was only created to prove the concept..
I shouldnt have continued maintenance of it..
So now this has merged back into 1 version.
I also implemented some of the ideas, Gertje shared with me through PM.
2X is the result of a very long list tiny nitty little changes.
And many many PM's. and not publicly released beta versions.
Special thanks to Acustafulano.

Who invented no trading weekends??
But, be cautious, Due to market close, didn't have chance to test it extensively.
And there are a LOT of tiny changes.
