Historical datas are very important. You need at least 3 months for D1 TF !

ex. of calculation D1 slope for AUDUSD at the same point :

with 1 month history : D1 slope = 0.653
with 2 months history : D1 slope = 0.503
with 3 months history : D1 slope = 0.470
with 12 months history : D1 slope = 0.470

Then I'm an idiot and a dimwit. I think Cowboy IBFX's timestamp is bogus and causes undesirable artifacts with many indicators. A proper crim has 5 D1 bars per week, all of the same length, not this mishmash hash of 6 bars, short Sunday, short Friday.

Maybe I missed something, but I haven't seen anything in Bob's strategy that *requires* the Cowboy IBFX timestamp. (Any more than his strategy *required* the repainting TMA.) A few of the indicators he uses relied on it, e.g. the WOH indis I fixed weeks ago. But those were just buggy indis that needed fixing so they'd work with any crim's timestamp. As far as I can see, all of Bob's concepts (S/R lines, reversals, etc) are timestamp-insensitive. Fix the buggy indicators and you should be able to trade it successfully on any crim.

Gary - thank you for your post!

I have always believed that currencies are moved by market makers, central banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions as the case may be - as far as I know nobody here really knows how they operate - (with the exception of scoobs, who is no longer here) - but one thing is for sure - they are not using Cowboy IBFX to place their orders....

The system works, so do others, let's be flexible and open-minded....

Hi POH, if you load "ALL" history data, your screen should look like mine (AlpariUK). As i can see, you do not have all pairs for each currency available. Mine shows all 7 pairs ! I always use the script "ForceLoadHistoricalData" after a new Empty4 - Installation. I do not know if this solves your problem.

Tebis - not all brokers offer all the currency pairs. I don't have NZDCAD, CADCHF for example. My D1 values (especially Aud pairs) are totally off from yours!

Hi Jem, you are right, not all crim offer all the currency pairs. I had the problem with two different Empty4 Installations (2 Alpari demo accounts). The values of TFs where almost the same, but with one account i noticed 56 pairs the other only 42 pairs. So I run the script and suddenly all 56 pairs where available on the second acc. This was my experience last week.

Right now i am more confused. I checked my Demo pro account against my live account. It seems that Alpari(UK) offers different pairs on different account types. On demo pro NZDCHF is available on live account not. I think for each account type and each criminal the indicator must be configured.

Be aware that script by itself isn't sufficient. I deleted all data from one Empty4 instance and then ran the ForceLoad script -- and I ended up with *12* H4 candles in each pair! (That was what the messages in the Experts tab said the script downloaded. I don't know why.) You need to go through all TFs you care about for all pairs, and verify the data is there and/or hit HOME to force it to download.

Ok, I will reword my ideas as I know you are neither an idiot or a dimwit.

Here goes. Now guys, I am not entirely sure what is so difficult to grasp about doing what Bob does.

I am at something of a loss to see why you guys are unable to grasp this simple fact: Bob is successful at what he does. Got that? Successful?

Therefore it seems to my simple brain that doing what Bob does is a bit of a no-brainer.

Or a lot of a no-brainer.

I suggest that you guys stop trying to adapt Bob's method to your favoured criminal, and instead adapt your trading so that doing so on your favoured criminal reflects what Bob is doing. Given that Bob is successful, ok?

The only trades I have lost since adopting 10.2 have been when I have not been using 10.2 to guide my trading decisions. Apart from Larry Kirkbride trades, and that looks likely to implode.

Maybe I have just been lucky and that following Bob's published methods developed on his Cowboy IBFX platform have been flukes. If so, what are we all doing here? Or maybe I have been successful with 10.2 because I do what I think Bob does? Hmmmmm.

So, anyone utterly refusing to try to adapt their stuff to what Bob is doing is behaving like an idiot. You may or may not be an idiot; for sure, you are behaving like one.

I have lost patience guys. I am not too sure which bit of the blindingly obvious here is blinding so many of you so much, and so will contribute no further here. It is up to you whether you decide to do what Bob actually does or fight against it. Go with him and you will win; do not go with him and I do not know what will happen to you. The choice is yours.

It seems that for now, there really is no alternative to this.

Cowboy IBFX tells me there is no new data and the other broker got new data and then went even more out of wack. EURNZD for example from around -.9 to -1.36, might just stick with Cowboy IBFX the results look similar to the pics posted up there ^.

Edit: Another broker is exactly the same as my other so Cowboy IBFX might be out, it won't let me update the data at all.
