You probably don't have enough history (data).

There are a couple of scripts about I will see if I can find where they are and update here.

Good points made reference immediate profitability - if you have read 'Trading in the Zone' by Mark Douglas then you will realise that trading is all about the casino edge being played out over time. There are NO certainties in trading and ALL systems will have periods of draw-down. All you are doing by trading is stacking the odds in your favour of a successful outcome.

As this is essentially a TREND trading system then when the markets enter periods of CHOP and Indecision then I would advocate maybe turning off the EA - this will prevent erroneous choppy orders and whipsaws!

As with all EAs you MUST understand the wider market fundamentals and conditions. If you wouldn't trade your MANUAL system in these conditions then why would you expect an EA to do any better?? I tend to use the MAs on my manual system and price action. If a pair has had three pushes up from a low for example and price is consolidating on the daily chart then wait for a meaningful retrace. If you use a combination of MAs and see then criss crossing one another then be PATIENT and await normal market order to resume (ie MAs stacked in the right order) before turning on the EA

People need to remember that you are RISKING your PRECIOUS capital in the market; your capital is a FINITE resource - you only get a certain allocation during your life depending on what you do, so spare capital is a SCARCE resource in economic terms - you must look after it and only RISK that resource when the conditions are most in your favour.

Currently, the markets are absorbing the fallout from the US Fed's QE3 announcement combined with the Bank of Japan's QE - its a race to the bottom and portends worse fiscal and economic conditions to come. Most of the QE news was already priced in - remember the old adage 'Buy the rumour and sell the news'? That is IMHO what we are seeing now.

Plus QE3 is subject to diminishing returns - the first bouts worked thru novelty and their impact in the economic cycle - ie the market was coming from a bad low place. QE3 is an open ended agreement to print until jobs data gets better, but its impact is reduced on each bout of QE.

All I'm saying is that you MUST understand your environment - use PESTLE or SWOT etc - don't just expect to lob an EA on your chart and think 'Bingo!! Money making machine'!!

Well said, I think everyone's abit excited with this EA, it seems the forex market is in a paused state most of the action happened over the Tokyo session with a few drop feeds over the London and NY session but looking forward to a very exciting week ahead as long as Draghi keeps his mouth shut tommorrow

You might want to update to version V1.0.2. It only came out today.

Still no trades over here either, running since yesterday before opening, upgraded to V1.0.2 today and restarted, but still no trades, and no errors. Maybe this ea is so good it refuses to trade in this market conditions, preserving our precious deposits :roll:

Be aware of version 1.0.2 two seconds after downloading my glass worktop exploded !!!
Computer fell only half a meter strait down and keep on telling me "0200 failure fix disk'"
Must be a bug in the code ?? :? :?

just restarted the @!!bot on my laptop on a wooden table ;)
version 1.0.2 nb10.2 max trades 6 lot 0.10
and he or she I'm not sure yet opened 6 positions in GBP/JPY ( all the same timestamp )

But the trades don't show up on the bot page ?? ( yes I set show trades to true )

lets see how it develops ...
