Hi all,
not much has changed with the demos, just an extra xmeter from JL which is looking good so far on its own, and with some manual trades from me on a seperate terminal.

Added Sunrise v4 from Jl after PMing and asking for it, begging actually!! :lol: :lol: I like JL's interpretation of Blessing. One can see he has spent years working on it.After i scoured the original code and settings again, its really a handfull and would confuse with all the settings it has. I much prefer that the news indi is not involved anymore. This caused the main problems i had with the original years ago.

All JL's flavours are starting to trade nicely now, including Lion King v4. Moonriver is at break even all the time, then it wins nicely and then gets klapped back down.

DBM is doing the same and ive started to change the magics to '0' to start meddling manually.

I noticed my crim has fixed their problems with their demo servers connecting to fxbook, so i had to re-install them so we can see the 'comments' tab. Sorry if you were following one of those demos, you'd have to re-follow the new demo. All set up the same, just now we are seeing the comments tabs.

No trades from Pinoccio v1a still so lets see if theres something up with the code, or if he's a lazy arse to trade.

Crossfaders are srating to wipe themselves out, so looking to see which variant stands out from the carnage. Looking forward to Pippa's take when ready to post on results. :D

completely forgot to mention that Marilyn is doing great. As Phill states, she trades nicely in trending conditions and does keep us out of the trouble many times when i would manually take a position, but happy to let her do the trading.
I'm still using the MPTM for trade closing, and Marilyn does the SL if the positions go bad too quickly and too fast. I like that.

Andy's 10.4 is cruising. Loving the charts and ability to opn and close them when needed with my template as i like to watch charts. Very , very handy. Resluts are good mostly, running 3 platforms now so starting to mess with the params. The most significant change is for the rsi. I'm not using the 98/2 as default and varying from 70/30 to 90/10. Also meddling with the stich and a few settings more. Will post when i have some definitive results.

Dave's Metaneural is also a very nice EA. Simple and strange that we havent had better results. She also kicks in very nicely when markets trend and if i may compare, i'd say Metaneural is on par with Marylin. Ive changed the 1HR TF in the code to 4HR and it seems ot be trading better. Still have losses, but since doing this i also upped the risk and results have gained the losses, and now we are in positive territory. Lets see in a month or so if we continue to grow. No manual interfering here.

I'm still running Baluda's original MultiBob and still plugging away at the settings. Havent attempted the code but also dont have any suggestions. I'm hoping Paul jumps into 10.5 with his Multi. Lets see how that go's. 10.2 and 10.2a on two different platforms. I've sometimes manually added a few trades when CTS gives me a signal. Some win nicely and MPTM is taking out my positions with BE or JS on both platforms. Enjoying the screen print here also.

FR has taken its hiding well and comes back again as coded. DC is aware that FR is not taking any recovery positions so maybe DC notices the AveragingDOwn of xmeter and he can see something that would work with FR. I have no doubt DC can code like a demon, its just the method must be solid.
FR takes great L1 positions, that is very clear with v10.02, and now the recovery must kick in. Looking forward to DC's work here. Really innovative.

And finally, i kept one of Bob's bots trading as i had an attempt at looking at the code with Steves shell code. Needless to say, i prefer to babble on, demo and point fingers more than coding. :) I'm really dumb at puting code together. This one is doing okay with some very simple changes, the account has spiked upwards because i threw in Trendy Gary on 1 full lot sizes and this has taken off. Its really interesting to view the differences with-in the EA's trading styles.
TG continues to plug away, one with the indi on, with the EA set to only buy, and then another demo for the old way with-out the indi that just buys. Coming on, but slow to turn the tide.

I'm finding the EA with the indi closes out losing positions, so i'm comparing to see which one will increase faster and with the least DD.

Bears n Bull s 10.5 is also on the radar and so is Poolers new versions with User Name's coding. Look forward to banging those onto the platforms soon. They look spectacular.

heres an update on my live and demo accounts with some details as to what i'm thinking.
Before we start here, please check if you were following any of the ava crim demos that were not showing the comments tab. The crim sorted themselves out and i was able to reset them up with the comments showing. One would have to re-follow the new demo created to see the results again. Much better to get an understanding of what the EA traded and why.

My live with the R evo from page 46 has moved on to new R evo4 with my settings and No Trailing or auto TP here. As always, i'm stopping trading at 51500 local time to try and get positions closed by the end of day, sometimes it works.

On the markets live, ive removed Evo1 and replaced with (r)evo4 but here i'm leaving trailing to true but prefer to stick to my own RecoveryTP of 20 -30 , i change as i see the strength of the trend.

GP live with revo 4 also. max 3 pairs, with CCY2,1 and 0.01 lots max. This one should make it comfortably as it has 5k in it and settings are safe. I'll be surprised if this one gets in trouble.

The Live test to see if the special leglac versions will make it in accounts with less than 5k, have become skewered by one manual trade i had on each when i started them. The one was a buy on gold and the other a buy on AUDUSD. I have had to deposit anoth1k in the one live so its now at 3k. The other live is at 2k, but i see it needing a deposit soon if the trend doesnt change. Will ask JL if its possible to apply 'cover' in (R) evo4 to continue this test with that EA. I think cover will be the only time an EA might be able to make it with less than 5k in the accounts. The TP issue might be the reason why Leglac didnt do well, so lets see with (r)evo4 if this is any better now.

Because of the low amount in the acct i also had to change the equity allowed to a realistic 50% which is the max i would allow before depositing more, or changing/dropping the EA.

The special leglac should have done very well in the market conditions we just went by, but instead it has been medi-ocre. Should have done better. Should still do well in the long run, and currently in DD on all the other 3 demos i'm running for it , so we'll see how they do otherwise pointless continuing with them. I have gone below the equity i'm happy to trade with so this ones moving in front of the firing squad soon if it does'nt get better.


Thats it for the live accounts, now over to the demos and various EA's.


Trendy Gary is one EA i think will soon be in my live section. All my terminals running TG have recovered from losses brought on by my manual trading or a mistake on lot sizes when i started the test. The one even had a MC becuase i was on 1 full lots on a 5k demo. This one has also gone into the green this last week.
With a little care, looking at the weekly chart, i think we can determine which pairs we should stick to buys with. For EG; AUDUSD is now prime to be a buy only for a few weeeks until we get to the high side. XXXJPY pairs are going to continue their long positions until the JPY govt is happy with their inflation rate. These are not difficult points to figure out and if you are serious about FX trading, you should be able to pick that up from general news.
SO, i'm going to do just that with the terminals, and try to not manually trade to see what happens. After this, i will probably go live with them. Need so save some funds now.
DOnt know what strategy SivEd is trying but his version is not doing so well with the buys and sells. I hope to hear from SivEd at some stage. Heres the comparison link;

FXPOOLER v6c
Was following Poolers demos before i jump in and saw how fast his account grew, but so did the DD. Will wait to see what Phillip and username do with the EA and jump in once they confirm a new release. Lot sizes are definately an issue here and must be kept to a minimum for sure. Great to see an EA trade though, not a boring EA at all here, so hope they can get to the recovery they need for trades gone bad here, otherwise growth here can be as spectacular as anything ive seen. Maybe too fast.

GDay 2
I cant get GDay2 to trade efficiently and successfully. Very slow trading and too much monitoring necessary to warrant a successfull result for EA trading. Better to trade manually for the time spent, and looking for the most efficient automated trading system. This one doesnt fall in that category so going to have to give up here. FX8000's insight here was very well noted and attempted. Just when we thought it was safe to get back in the waters, Jaws would bite our leg off. DD on this account is now mostly from a xmeter leglac version i'm running here and one will be spending quite some time to try and find the GDay2 trades. Very few.

Crossfader
What great energy this thread has. VM's insight and attempt at coding the HEX has me glued to my seat. Pippas humour just adds to the fun. Mathematically faultless with very little left to chance. Its the programming thats difficult here and i really dont know if its possible, but will definately be banging VM's v9Hex onto a few demos.
Across the board, the variants are not doing too bad. FXJoe's version has now officially gone into DD and will wait and watch to see if it recovers. Definately worth following here guys, just give VM and friends the time to set this one up right.

Simple Beast
Here i have updated to Pippo6 version and for the first time i have seen SB take a positive trade in the right direction. Its the last trade right now a EURJPY going long. The Beast is more of a retrace EA so its a good thing to go in the right direction, and if it go's wrong, then use what its meant to do to recover. I have high hopes for this last demo using the Beast. Thanks to JL for helping with the code and Pippo for his continued confidence in the EA.
Heres the only two demos i have for this, one is mine, and the other was run by AGT for a short time. Trading is slow here, but i hope to see SB become more consistant rather than take a very long time to recover.

MetaNeural Superdash v1.4
Dave is really onto something here. His coding is much better than the original EA and although it might seem to be coming up with errors, those are alerts that the EA is about to, or looking to take a trade.
As mentioned in my last post , i changed the 1hr to 4hr in the code, and increased the lot size to 0.3. It seems to perform much better with the 4hr charts and considering trying another TF like daily now, to see if it does even better. I really like this EA and hope that Dave has not left this one alone.

Marylin by Phill and Niepce
Here i have stuck to my use of MPTM and hoping that if i get SL'ed out, that Marylin will bring me back into the game if the trend is still right as mentioned in the thread a few times. SOme had issues with this and wanted to stay out the market, but i prefer to go back in.
MPTM i staking care of the TP and Marylin is doing the SL'ing if a trade go's bad.
It looks as if a biger JS and BE setting would be a good idea becuase Phil's and Spot's accounts are doing better than mine. Phil was very sure that this would not work correctly and the recent market trending has proved him right. The results look very good and Niepce surely coded a work of art here. Strategy also looks to be very realistic becuase it also loses sometimes. Expecting only winners is a little far-fetched and one must allow for the odd change of trend or the odd mistake.

DBM by Bunker and co
DBM should by right be flying as the strategy allows for a certain amount of loss, but winners would overtake the losers and a basket would close in profit. I have resorted to using MPTM here with JS and BE as usual and results were not much better with it.
Renexxx'xs version is now in DD although it shows great profit, i'm trying to manually place some trades there to get it back to a fresh start. The various settings are still showing and demos will stay in anticipation of the new work that i believe Bunker and crew, and working on. There is talk that the new version is imminent. We'll see but definately going ot jump on the wagon with this one.

10.4 by Andy EA
What a beautiful EA to watch. Great to use when set up correctly for monitoring all traded pairs from a crim. I like the ease of it and the continued support that Andy has maintained in his thread. RTT, (ReadTheThread) applies here and hard to keep repeating everything as Andy and co have addressed just about everything that could come up. The rest is up to the strategy and now with RS in place, we should be able to get a better view from the demos as to what to expect in the coming weeks. The last week saw them all take a bit of a slap, but no major changes , just trying to get a grip on the percentage settings so i dont make the EA's goals unrealistic with the params. Might follow Kwchau with the 0.1 fixed lot size on one of the demos, just want to get to a poitn where i can safely eliminate one of the older ones before i re-attach a ne wone and fiddle from then on. Really enjoying the input here from all , especially SnailBeard.

XMeter
All the xmeters had a difficult trading time for the last two weeks. Some are still in DD with very few in the clear. I'm starting to close out some of the older xmeters and older versions and going to stick to the latest only. This will take some time to implement, but will slowly start to plunger away at the job at hand.
All my xmeters generally make a profit and the longer they run for, the more they make. The most important factor is the initial lot size and amount of pairs allowed in the CCY settings. keep this under control and you just cant go wrong.

The flavours like macarena are doing okay, Sunrise is still hanging in there but Tiffany has blown an account. Looking at tiffany v3 it just might be able to make it. LionKing v4 also and Mastermind. Amapola has also had a good run but hard to say from a demo traders perspective if they doing what they supposed to do. I think JL is watching and will alert us when he sees something.

In general, here are two points saying the same thing, maybe one way is better way of saying it than the other;

1- i would like to see some form of recovery for all of JL's flavours like xmeter uses. I dont see any EA able to return to the same point it first took a position unless one is willing to wait for months.

2- Its impossible to always get the direction correct and this also applies to SUnrise and Sunlight. We can never expect to ALWAYS get the direction right, and any EA has to have its own special type of recovery without expecting it to get back to the original starting point.

For this week, i'm happy to say that i will be setting up the new BM coded by our very own STIG, some say he lives in SPACE, we call him the 'mystery coder.'
So those links will be set up in the course of the week-end and will extend the history already in those demo terminals for comparison.

Very busy week that started rather slowly, with many casualties and interesting history to analyze.
too much for me to handle right now, but i'd like to point a little here. Not much to post, just the basics.

Marilyn is something to look out for. Phill and EDIT-Niepce(Sorry Niepce) have done a remarkable job and although i'm cheating with MPTM, i'm still confidant this EA will do well in the long run.

I know the curve doesnt look so 'straight-up' but every time i look up the demo, its choice of pairs or Gold, is always int he right direction, or at least what i think it should be. I havent played with it much, or with MPTM, knowing that i cant do much there, but its always in the back of my mind. Theres somethign very good here and i cant spot it yet.
Like the way it avoids gold especially and then only comes in when the craziness seems to be over. It avoided this whole crash of gold and has now taken a buy. I closed mine in profit manually for the week end, but i see the other demos also have a trade for gold. Going to be watching here.

Xmeter
The special Leglac might have seeing its arse, and currently in crappy DD here by me but I'm VERY sure i have found the key to trading xmeter, and will be posting a modded version of JL's EA's once i test it during the week. I'm really going to stare the LionInTheFace and send this to Gary Fritz before posting. Some say he is the other STIG. You guys going to make money off this one and i hope you remember your favourite charities when you pay off your cars and houses in a little while. :mrgreen:
Glenn's Bugatti was in arrears last i checked after Balls to the Wall crashed. Big Bobs' http://www.compassion.com/ and our in-house charity comes to mind. We will always be in debted to JL for this. Xmeter was going absolutely no-where until he came on-board... actually, i had walked away from it, and i NEVER give up.

Okay, here we have quite a few casualties, more notably Foks' Sunrise v3. Going to be cutting off most of them, but 3 come to mind that will be staying. Because there are so many, and time is limited, i'm going to hold from posting here and work something nice for a post in the thread. Cant say when i'll be done but i'm onto it rest-assured. I prefer the martingale versions, just scared to death of the lot sizes i saw on some of them, so maybe a few posts and JL can tweak them a little. There is no doubt there is a solution here, with all the testing going on, JL will hold the key here. WIll post soon.

Pinocchio lied to me and is not doing well. Lack of trades across the latest so also running older versions. I have not been able to find the time to catch up with the Owl. Coded my first little change, albeit it was a copy/paste situation but i think i understood the what to copy, and the 'where' to paste part. Nice feeling. Especially when it compiled okay. Thanks Steve.

Hi all, just about to finish manually updating ALL the demo terminals.
It seems if you go to settings/edit and press the connect button, that all the terminals update correctly with the comment tab.
I accidentally pressed the 'update using EA' yellow thingy on the one of the nine HDBM for Bunkers demos, and lost the ability to update that one terminal. I'll fix it as soon as the brokers/metaquotes/fxbook guys finish with their shenanigans.

Takes about an hour to get through all the demos, so will try to do this on a daily basis. If anyone wants a particular demo updated straight away, just PM me, ill get it done if i'm by a PC.

been a while and had all demos still running with the original auto update setup i always had. I see fxbook has autoupdate back up so once we get some idea if this setup will continue where it left off , or if i need to reinstall, then i'll do so.

Lots of info to catch up on, lots of changes too, so will update with a nice general response here on all the demos, and then elaborating more in their respective threads.

More notably, please pay attention to BM by Bunker and Rene, then Phill and Niepce's Marilyn, xmeter fp9, nolimits 3.4, Speed v5, and JL's special v2.1 that is my main live trader, mixed with my manual trades.
JL's flavours are left with Sunrise v6 and v7 and Mastermind v1 are left and still trading very safely through all these months.

Mr Long's 10.4 needs some attention from my side, as does Dave Metaneural. Havent had much luck with them even with some minor mods i made on some of the terminals.

I see there are a few new EA's to demo so will set them up as soon as we have clarity with fxbook and once i catch up with all the reading.
Great to see the progress here. Following the options we have for new trading terminals and really appreciate reading the posts. One doesnt get to read the quality of posts we see here at SHF anywhere. Deeply appreciated from all contributors.
