Hi all,

as Mourad has requested a special version via PM I will put it here for all.
Here is his PM:

When I backtested 2012 and 2013 I realized that If we had the option of partial close on BE the EA would be extremely profitable! Option is always a bless!

Taking up again the discussion about shadow trades, which was initiated by Radar
Let's look at it that way:

Version A: MM opens a trade which goes into profit, some trailing system limits loosing > (any number) %/Pips/other of this profit, 90% of the trade close, 10% remain as a sentinel, to abort when actual Marylin rules trading conditions end the trade or Marylin reopens the closed 90% when trading resumes the trading trend.

Version B: Lock profit by a close trailing system (e.g. parabolic SAR and Stochastics), resume as long as trading conditions according actual Marylin rules have not been cancelled and daily trading trend has resumed. This would transform Marylin into an EA with two Sub-EAs:
  • actual Marylin rules and
  • Sub-EA A with a trailing stop system and
  • Sub-EA B to reopen profitable trades within actual Marylin rules.
I am sure, it can be done ;-)

Hi Mike,
thanks for your input, yes it can be done :D , I am testing some of this systems in different live and demo accounts, but it needs some time to have results, esp. as I am too test CSS as indicator for this all..

Hi,

First i want to say thanks for a great tread and EA, very good programming, second i was thinking of if it's possible to set up a MM module where you can actually set when you want to close the basket, lets say either in % or in profit value, for instance let say i want to close the entire basket if it's $50 profit.
Why would i like this, well this give an excellent way to build profit extremely fast with this ea since what i have seen there can be swings so you can go from +$50 to +5 and be hanging there for a while.

Maybe this sound totally stupid but i think it would be great, otherwise keep up the good work.

every good input is very welcome :) only with a lot of different ideas, it is possibile to improve Marylin, a kind of basketmanagement for all trades that Marylin has open is indeed an idea that could be worth testing. I will take a look at weekend.

You could do that already if you want to with Steve's MPTM or Baluda's MPBM.
