Rebyte2 noticed the difference in AUDCHF. I see the same in AUDCAD It is quite a marked difference. While it may not be a big deal, I think the way around this, is to just be contented to use one or the other.

Initially I was using the 10.4 v 1.02 because I believed tit was the latest update, not realising that Bob had kindly put it there as a kind gesture towards those having CPU problems.

But after reading more about the strategy, I have since gone back to the 10.4 v 1.01. The RSI2 is better for most pairs, but as you can see, the STO5 does not get the jitters like RSI2 has done on this occasion.

My work-around is to simply wait until the price is looking seriously ready, and have a quick look at both. No harm done, no extra work really, and the best outcome for the trader.

Of course, to avoid complicating life - just stick to the version with which you are most comfortable.

I can help there cmeade2 - see attached - the black line in the 5 LWMA (open) shifted 1 period. Basically using that for initial entries instead of the pivots/S/R. There are EA's for it too (with NB 10.2).

EDIT: - Maybe used a bad example here that might confuse some. Clearly the last crossing of the 5.1 LWMA would be before the RSI(2) was flat so you would probably wait for the pivot/S/R cross anyway. In many cases the LWMA 5.1 cross would just get you in earlier than a pivot/S/R cross AFTER the RSI(2) was flat.

Cheers mate - and good to see your work in this system! I remember you bringing your RSI findings up with me :)

Here's an example. Just wait for a retrace, flattening RSI etc and then enter when it touches the Blue MA:

I set it up and it seems like you are waiting for a cross. For example, you would now be short the EurUsd and NzdUsd while long the UsdChf and UsdCad.

All of these seem to be valid 10.4 trades but the entry is cued to the 5/1.

Is this right?

^ Yep the entries end up being about the same as raw 10.4 but I've always been a big fan of using the 5.1 MA as an entry and having the rules of 10.4 for added confirmation looks the goods.

But you are satisfied with a simple touch and not a cross (preferably with a close).

Hi Ingot54:

I want to clarify something in your post, (clarification required is not related to the STO/RSI issue).

You mention a trade opportunity. I don't see a trade opportunity, according to canonical 10.4, as I understand it.

1. price is over the 240MA, so you should only be taking long trades
2. the RSI/STO trigger for a long trade is a flat oversold condition, while on your piccy the STO at least is showing a flat overbought condition.

Your post seems to imply taking a short trade or I have misread something?
