This is crazy. How am I going to get any sleep tonight. I got this and also a plane to catch in the morning. Dang,  What timing life gives you. I have to spend time with the kids. i only see them once or twice every year or two. I have to restrain myself. |

hi BOB and all. Thank you for the clarity of this thread and process. i was looking at the CCS data on 4h and 1D too i noticed the rythm of compression on the CCS. and post that compression the prices move very quickly. ( as you'd expect..) So how do we spot the expansion as a trigger... what about a bollinger band? i tried but failed to put a bollinger band around the 'CCS set' values. i believe this would clearly graph a compression, we could 'see' the crossovers at expansion (as some pairs move first, others following the bb would react quickly it looks likely on a visual inspection. Thoughts? (I'm willing to plot it if any one has a bb indicator i could place on the ccs window ) gl all. and happy feb trading. |

It is basically solved this way. The CSS gives four warnings of which way compression will go. 1.Which one is bigger on the Daily chart. For example which pairs are positive and which ones are negative. You will want to trade these. 2. CSS daily which ones are going in opposite directions. So two signals from Daily are there for you to see. 3. 4H CSS break above/below 0. One pair must register positive and one needs to register negative. 4. Move begins when one crosses the +20 and the other crosses the -20 (These numbers are subject to change after some study). That's your filter. Now if you are good at reading the BB and you understand its nuances then yes you can add them to CSS. I will not be teaching using the BB. However, I do understand the BB very well from my CT trading days so i can give you a hint on setting it up. Change the setting to 30, move the bands from 2 to 1, put a shift 3 or 5 on it. When price goes outside the band enter, when price comes back inside the band exit. Simple. sheesh I may even look at that.  |

Phew. I had an attack of the horrors on reading the post about HA. That has to be the single worst Crap Custom Abortion ever coded by a lunatic with a death wish. So far as I can tell, the damn thing rabidly insists that the market is going this way when it is clearly going that way to anyone with a firing brain cell, and when that way is 180% in opposition to this way. Sorry guys. I wasted a couple of days last week on a few CCA's sent to me by a dimwit and so am feeling a tad jaundiced. Nothing against HA except that it is the worst pile of anthraxed pile of lethal nasty-monster poo ever left on doorstep of of the sweetest and most innocent creature ever. No, the creature wasn't me - I don't qualify etc. I recognised it is the rubbish it is the moment someone was daft enough to send it to me. Not changed my mind since. Only an idiot uses HA.  |

Art, Not sure if this will help..I run 7 systems here on a Business Comcast network with an alternate provider back up network. If one goes down, the back up takes over automatically. The ip address 192.168.1.1 is the normal internal IP address of your router/switch (at least it is on my Linksys router/switch unit). If Talk Talk is saying all is ok, try connecting 1 computer directly to the modem of TalkTalk. See if that will get you connected. Turn off the Talk Talk modem for 2 minutes (this will normally reset the modem IP - if not a static IP address). Turn off your computer. Repower the TalkTalk modem, then turn on your computer. If you are able to get a connection, then the issue is with the router. They do go bad (you may want to consider keeping a backup in reserve). Also, you can try resetting the router to it's default settings, sorta like a reboot. Most routers have a reset button, sometimes you can use a small pin to push in a recessed button on the router. Depending on the manufacturer, this is normally found on the rear of the unit where you plug in the cables. If after resetting, you still can not connect, but you are able to connect directly, then most probably the router needs to be replaced. One other course you can try is to flush the IP / DNS of the router and your computer. If you can not get an internet connection while directly connected to the modem of TalkTalk, the issue would possible be focused to the computer network card or ethernet connection port. If the ethernet port is built into the motherboard, first try troubleshooting the windows connection. If it will not resolve, then the board most likely needs to be replaced. If the ethernet is connected via a separate network card, try updating the drivers to make sure you have the most recent. If it will not connect then look at replacing the card. Essentially, this is a process of elimination to the issue. If you need assistance, on this, let me know.. do my best to be of assistance. Hope this helps. |

Hi Bob, That's a very good Idea with your "CT-Bollinger Bands". I checkt this in combination with the RSI CT-Methode and it looks good. One question I had to "out of bands" rule. Do you mean if price is between the contracted Bands or generally between the bands? |
