Gertje, are these all 10.4 based trades...?

if so, could you post your entries and exit...if not, could you be clear about what method you are following...?

Hi Wiggy,

Below a print from the trade log.
There are 4-5 trades with very small loss booked, this happened due to the new ITM, closing out trades as soon as they opened. Changed to the former ITM since.

The 0.1 x GBPCAD is from the "monthly ranging" chart, the rest is 10.4 in my opinion.

Without the GBPCAD there is appr. 5% UPdraft

audcad - 240 touch?

Post by padnoter »

Hi,
Was the AUDCAD long trade a "vanilla" 10.4 trade?
Is it because the 4h bars didn't close below the 240ma.... if they had closed below, we would have been in a "cancel pending long trades" until clearer trend.. is that correct?
Thanks

After the bars started making higher highs again, there are at least 2 reasons to go long;
- cross WP into trend again
- AO is below 0
- AO is getting green?

10.4 all the way I believe. With such close 240MA, a good one as well, bigger lots -> potential bigger profits.
I made the SL 200pips instead of the 240MA, due to too small distance for my taste.

A bounce off the 240 is a bounce off the 240. CLose or no close you like to play those bounces. If it doesnt you arent in so it is a very safe trade. If it reverses the SL is near and the loss is smaller. I like to play for the bounce.

Last 3 weeks I have collected 344 pips off of the Eur/Nzd See the 3 bounces that were played.

Remember the rules are guidelines and I'm not sure there has been a lot of discussion around entry when price is right at the MA....most of the discussion has been around what do you do with the stop, if you enter very close to the MA...

Given this bounced of MA, i entered at the mid pivot and are still in the trade and may only get out if AO changes.....

The great thing about setting pending orders, as it make price prove your plan...if price had continue below the MA i have not lost anything....I just remove my pending and look for shorts...
