Bob and Shelley Again

Trading live since August last year, BASA was performing very respectably until the end of the year...since Christmas the markets have been decidedly unfavourable to the BASA strategy and it's been a slow bleed of giving profits back since then.

This chop in the markets just doesn't seem like changing anytime soon, so unfortunately, I've made the decision to remove BASA from my live account effective immediately

Overall, I would think I am still up, however I can't justify allowing BASA to drain profits away.

If anyone is still trading BASA live, I would suggest small lots until the markets start trending again.

It's not all bad news though! I have been trading 10.6/10.7 on my live account at the same time and I am up 67% since 1st January...so if you still haven't taken the time to read & understand Bob's masterpiece then I suggest you do so pronto!

Thanks Shelly for the info...Do you have the link to the Bob's EA, and what setting do you use?

fchaman, 10.7 is a manual trading system not an EA, although there are 'helper' EA's available. 10.7 is a fairly recent progression in the 10.x history and I was trading 10.6 Edsel live right up until a couple of weeks ago. I have since amalgamated both systems into a format that I feel 'works' for me.

I am about to lock this thread and add a message to the top of post 1 explaining why.

Shelley, you are not to blame for the EA's failure. The markets just moved against it. It happens. Fact is, if you cannot make BASA work,then the rest of us have no chance.

Shelley, I look forward to your next EA specification.
